How do you start the plot? When I go to the manor, it is the same as before. :(
What am I doing wrong? I cannot participate in the plot today. All I get is "Rude. Ian is obviously hiding something. You decide to explore Skelly Manor." I checked for ALL the clues, and the Pumpkin Patch still says I have not been inside the mansion yet when I have.

Yeah still bummed about the achievements, please don't do this in the future. It makes no sense to me, extra unachieved spare achievements are just going to annoy people. I would understand it if there was a plot point where you side with either or, but this wasn't the case here. If it was tiered instead it would feel like "extra prestige", this is just annoying imo. >:/

Unachieveable achievements give me hives. Even if it's not 'glitched,' it's still a bad idea. Since I cleared 25 in 15 seconds I think by extension I've earned the other achievement for clearing fewer in the same time.
All I have to say is...Bustin' makes me feel goood! XD

I stared at the writing like forever until I started to get after the ghosts. Now I looked at my achievements, because unfortunately I continuously get hexed so wanted to see, if at least the hexing was counting up now. Which it still doesn't.
Now the ghostbusting is weird, indeed. Did you mean to use another room in either of the achievements? I went back into the living room, to see, if I could play the game again (also checked the games room) and try to take longer, kill less to get the "Shot in the dark" one as well, but of course I have already cleared this room. It would have made sense to hint at the fact, that you could be fast or slow, make the achievements not separate ones but tiered. I mean, I am not an achievement collector, so it does not actually bother me, still it seems odd to me.
It makes no sense that when I got the 'Quick And The Dead' I didn't get the other one because I cleared 25 ghosts, and in doing so, also did the 15 one. I really wish you're not going to just leave us hanging with an achievement we're never going to get, I know it's going to bother me forever. I don't care about the item, just turn that tile green. That said, the game was a lot of fun! I can see you've put so much effort in this plot, it's great. :)

...but hey, I agree that achievement thing felt super odd. If it was about giving others a second chance, I'd rather it be tiered and the prize being on the lower tier, like many others said.
I got the 25 or less achievement and all, but I have to question something - Does the game not start until you click on a ghost? Because if a slower reader gets punished for reading the instructions up top instead of just skimming and finding the salient information... well, that would kind of suck.

That's what I thought at first, too. I went into the cluttered room downstairs over 5 times before finally noticing the door. Did you notice towards the back wall the corner of a bright thing that looks kind of like a window? Try clicking on that.

I see now..I think. I got the Clear the living room in Skelly Manor of 25 ghosts in 30 seconds or less one so can't get the other which would be if I was too slow to get the first? And now I just get to have a image of something there is no way to get now? Which I hate having on my page because it's pointless to look at something I will never be able to get?
TaKaBaKuN Did you go downstairs yet? there should be a glowing door next to him under the stairs, click it go to the basement and then the next room there's a bunch of boxes with a little box of blue/green light, click it and Ian should be there and you'll talk to him for a bit.
Well, wish I'd read up on the achievements before actually trying the plot, or had a chance to re-play the ghost game. Either or. Took me longer than fifteen seconds to figure out the game mechanics the first and only time through it.
I'm really excited about the plot and glad there was an update, but that was an awful long wait to have so little to do! It feels like one of those games that tells you to gain two levels, gives you one small bit of plot quest, and then tells you to gain another two levels.

okay. I didn't even know there was a time limit to getting another achievement, so I didn't try to hurry. Great.. yeah, something I can't get because I didn't know there was something I was racing against. I guess in the future, reading the boards before I make a move is the only way to go, instead of hoping I could do it on my own an not miss something fun. ;P

True, but it seems to be going over well as a really easy mini-game (point+shoot is manageable for anyone) even with the screwy achievements. The ghosts could get bigger and require more clicks/focus. It could be like the last Masquerade plot, with some random little mini-games, followed with BC challengers. Subeta tends to do well for their holidays!
I got to the point with the ectoplasm but what do I do now? I hear people talking about clearing rooms, how do I do that?
To be honest, that's exactly what I'm afraid of.
They actually put in a decent amount of effort to design a game that was intended to take less than 30 seconds and to only be played once (so far). I know it's only the second plot step, but that's still disappointing.
Fun mini-step, but I wish there had been a bit more too it. :)

That ghost busting game was 900% more fun than Bug Guy Joe's setup. <3 xD And to those mentioning the achievement thing, we may get a chance at whatever one we didn't get in the next rooms, and even if we don't...they both have the same item prize so it's not like anyone's missing out on a cool item or forum title.
I love achievements, but I don't see the big deal given that they're pretty much the same thing but with different requirements. shrugs and goes back to stalking the patch for the new minion
I thought this step was super neat and i don't mind that it was brief (i've got quests and things to do still anyway). My only complaint is the way that achievement was set up...as others have said, why on Earth couldn't it have been a tiered achievement?! I got the higher one, but i don't feel more "prestigious" - i feel incomplete. ._. Aside from that though, i really am enjoying the plot and i like the ghosts. XD
This complaining is sad.XD The plot has barely begun. Have we ever even had weekend updates? It gives the chance for others to catch up who weren't able to get on during the start of the plot or during the latest update(s) and a chance for the team to get the next set of updates ready. So it was a small step today. Big deal. It's a taste of what's to come. We (hopefully) have 4 more updates to come this week, so just wait. Plus the game worked first try! Isn't that good?! (No offense, Subeta, but sometimes games just won't work when they get released lol.)
Yes, the new achievements were a little weirdly laid out but it is what it is.
I guess that makes sense, but I'd still like to have both since obviously I got the larger amount of ghosts ;)
