Bash Bug

Hi everyone! We realize that the site has been lagging this morning, but unfortunately it's out of our control. rackspace (our server provider) has been restarting servers to fix the bash bug that has popped up on the entire internet over the past few days and is a very serious security threat.

What this means: Over the next 24 hours, the site may lag or go down. Some of our servers may be restarted or reimaged. This is for the security and safety of all of us, though!

Thanks for the info! C: I'm actually quite fine on my tablet. Hardly any lag and no Calvin Blackmoon yet. And this is compared to using my laptop that is so ridiculously laggy on here and gets attacked by Calvin every half hour haha :"3

Man, at least I know what's been going on! I thought it was my internet acting screwy, but all the other sites were going strong, so I figured it was SOMETHING with the servers! Thanks for letting us know, but this seriously going to be a pain to do quests for today... XP

Thanks for the update ^_^. That explains why Calvin Blackmoon keeps taking the site down every 15 seconds since midnight.

The site has been lagging for me for more than just this morning. It's been taking several minutes for pages to load for nearly a week. Hopefully it gets solved soon.

Just out of curiosity, why is Keel Hauliday ending so early this year? I was under the impression that was supposed to be a ten day celebration anyway. Extending it a but longer is certainly helpful, as even without the killer lag, it's still near impossible to obtain any of the higher rarity items or desirables from Freyalise Trading Co.

I'd prefer double quests or vending for when the lag is fixed rather than another day of Freyalise. The items from that shop are still being restocked and going into the system but it's really difficult to quest or vend right now and I think I'm going to get like a third of the way through them lol.

To be fair, the pirate shop should be kept open a few extra days to give everyone a chance at getting achievement items. I've tried Carl's quests and got none of the items needed. Also tried ocean depths vending and got nothing but cheap junk. Can't buy anything in the pirate shop because of the super lag by the time the page loads they're all gone. :(

"This morning?" Try the entire weekend. I hope that we can get a different server than Rackspace in the future - no other site that I go to has had this problem.
