BATTLE OF THE BANDS RESULTS!

It's done! Many arduous hours of checking later, and we have the results! Gracious, some of you were really good at Street Team. I suppose it's just not my forte, I could never get higher than 62. Maybe that's why my band isn't doing so well...

Anyway, without further ado:

Congratulations Horns And Roses! You managed to get 251 fans supporting you, achieving a high score between you of 350,161 points. You will be contacted to discuss a special prize item which you guys are going to help design.

Now, we decided to award a Runner Up prize, as this was really a neck and neck race the last few days with two bands shooting way ahead of all the competition. With 344 fans supporting them and a score of 345,064 - Runner Up goes to The Granny Smiths! Congratulations, old folk! (You can hear me ok, right?)

Now onto the genre winners. The Grand Champion and Runners Up were both in Punk/Rock, so the other genre winners are as follows:

Congrats to the winners! Too bad I couldn't participate because of the flash game. :/ I guess I should be glad this event wasn't very involved like Epicon, but for a summer event it was a bit lackluster.

All the bands done an amazing job on their avatars and putting each band together. They all deserve recognition for all the hard work and effort they put into the competition ^_^.

With all the hype around this event we all figured it would be something extra special since the VIP tickets were so hard to get. Even the cost of regular tickets was more than expected. The ending of the event felt rushed. All the item art is awesome, the item prices were fine, Oatmeal was absolutely adorable and it was nice to see NPC characters interact with the site members ^^. I want to thank all the staff that worked hard on getting this event together and trying your best to make everything run smoothly ^^.

The only frustrating part of the event was that the game Street Team would not work for some us. I tried everything under the sun on my end to get the thing to cooperate including reading the bug forum post on the game. I tried reloading the game over and over, I checked to make sure my computer settings and flash payer were up to date, I disabled add ons on my Firefox browser, cleared my browser cache and cookies and even tried a different computer to see if the game glitched on it too.

I only got the game to load briefly twice for a short amount of time - first game locked up and couldn't score anything and the second game got a score of 24. I know an epic fail for me XD. I realize it's not anyone's fault the game won't work with certain computers. My computer is over 7 years old now and I ended up investing in a newer model I'm slowly learning how to use the new one. If any of my past comments sounded harsh or ungrateful in any way, shape or form I sincerely apologize to you ^_^.

Congrats to the winners! And to all those people scoring so high ;-) Still, I have to agree with Nightrage and StarShadow. The whole event was utterly boring in my opinion. Just expensive stuff to buy, a goat and a non-useable wishing shrub. I honestly expected something more, like more games/riddles or battle challengers (although I'm not a battler myself, but it would have been nice). Glad I didn't buy a VIP ticket, but even the 1000 wiz tokens were a waste for me, sorry. Hope there will be better events in the future.

So glad the Thrill Seekers got honours; definitely one of my favourite entries. Really enjoyed the whole of this event! Something a bit different and very nice for a one-of, and I await the prize van with interest

Agree with Nightrage. I thought there would be more to do, like games and events, rather than just buy stuff and play with the goat. The park looks very empty now :( I hope they put something in there, even if it's just bringing Oatmeal back. Otherwise it's a huge open space that seems wasted right now.

But this was a boring event for the summer. Nothing to do other than buy up the new items, mostly food, and wait around hoping to get your band to win. So very event-less. I thought it would be more like a funfair.

Well, my band did not make it into the finals and then the band I supported did not win...but you know what...it was a lot of fun!! I really enjoy the experience and hope we can do this again next year. I'll be better prepared next time. This was my first experience on Subeta as a newbie. I've been here for 2 weeks total now and learned a lot through this. I suppose I came in at the right time because I have made a lot of friends through this whole thing. I count it as a win, even if it wasn't for me.

I have even started my own burlesque roleplay thanks to this competition! Thank you for coming up with such a fun thing for us to do!!

I can't wait to see what big thing you have prepared for us later on down the year!!

I LOVE numbers too Speiro (and I'm an old fogy of 59, have always loved 'em) and I would ALSO love to see the stats for everything, all the bands, etc...yeah, just what Speiro (and others) said, LOL!! :)

Also I want to thank my friends from Rotting Stones for being awesome!! fresh and diesel (and I don't think I know your other band mates) I'm so sorry you guys didn't place. Also wish I could have played the game to support you...but as FCoD said "I'm far too old for this type" LOL I usually get zero every time I try a game with arrow keys. :)
