REGARDING THE USE OF FORUMS:

It has come to our attention that certain users attempt to do the tasks of our moderators. In cases such as:

1. User 1 will post in the wrong forum, and another user (not STAFF) will tell off User 1 or tell them their post is in the wrong forum. This gives User 1 the idea to remake their post in another forum.

This is not needed. If you see a user make an error on the forums, report it to a moderator. This is what they are here for.

Another case would be:

If a user posts in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, it is not the user's job to say something in the lines of, "Do not post in all caps." Remember, any forum abuse should be reported; do not attempt to handle it yourself.

2. Also, there is some sort of spamming going on. If someone tells a user that the post is wrong, or something of the sort, don't make another post saying something in the lines of, "Yes, this belongs in the XXX forum." Example:

User 1 posts in the wrong forum.
User 2 replies, "This should be in advertising."
User 3 replies, "Yeah, this should be in advertising."

This is CONSIDERED spamming. Please don't do this!

Thanks for your understanding and being such great members.

Charizard, there's no reason to post on the news about unrelated things. They'll be fixed whenever.

I dunno about anyone else, but this concept makes SO MUCH sense. I'm surprised more forums don't have this sort of rule. It keeps arguments away and if the person is doing something bad, the only attention they get is from an official. ^-^

The question you asked was answered in the news post, anyway. So please read it carefully.

Callycat -- answer their question and notify a staff member of the abuse, do not try to handle the situation yourself.

Forum Abusers need to be told by one person, and that person needs to be a staff member.

i would agree with cally just dont do it rudely i dont know if you can though let an admin tell you because if you did what you said a mod could still come and say dont post in all caps again its against the rules and will get you warned and so on.. or something ..

Callycat- I'll let a moderator answer your question. As moderation isn't my job either, I just make the news posts. ^__^

Bob- YES. THE PIE SEEMS FITTING FOR THIS NEWS POST, HUH?

"Pies! Enforcing the law at a website near YOU!"

Took the words right out of my mouth, Steen.

Though, if someone merely put all caps, and you answer their question/reply accordingly, this means you cannot say, also, next time, maybe you should calm down on the caps, or something really slight like that?
