I'm pretty sure has said that the battling here is separate from the rest of the plot. You get prizes specifically for battling (challenger loot, experience), but you won't miss out on the rest of the plot if you don't or can't battle.
I honestly hate battles :/ I want the points for this, but all of my pets are tier one.... I'm just not into that aspect of the site. All of the sylphs are JUST strong enough to beat me. So I guess I just lose out on plot points.
Oh there was a battle? How on earth did I miss such an important plot point? Oh yeah I was sleeping. How stupid of me not to stay up for yet another night just so I could take part. But, I guess it is all my fault for living on the wrong side of the planet. :P However, I do wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all those who fought the Tempest and emerged victorious.

Hopefully everyone will get to battle her again, not just people who didn't get a chance the first time because the site was an absolute nightmare to battle on this afternoon :(
Not happy about this :c so it's ruin you battle score with tons of losses or battle and hope you can afford any of the prizes. I've never been a huge fan of things like this where there are so many disadvantages everywhere. (ie time zone, I was actually in class,if you don't want a ton of losses, if you are in a different time zones, if you aren't top tier in battling) I get that their should be things for those that work hard to train their pets but I don't think it should be equated to some prize shop thing I think it's horribly unfair for new/player or people in who don't train their pets. I get many people will say it's your fault for not training then I raise the question then that why are their not plots around other things like having lots of clothes so people that have tons of clothes have a huge advantage over those that don't. Getting to where your pets actually do any recall damage takes a long time. So I guess newer people like myself just have to watch the events go by for the several years it takes to get a pet high enough to participate. I think battle should be in plots and Not the plot itself it should be optional not exclusive to those that train against those that don't.(ie everyone can collect flowers,tokens etc,but not everyone collects plushies(insert optional thing that some people do) so a plot that required you to have lots of plushies would put people out)

I managed to get 60 battles in, I doubt I did much damage altogether though as my strongest pet could only do 350-450 damage before she was KO'd in one hit. xD It was fun though! Well before the lag kicked in at least.

successfully managed to turn something fun into something terrible. 7hrs of extreme lag and timeouts between battles because the lag was that bad. Then an announcement that hey the 7hrs you plowed through today is completely nullified by your need to sleep so people in other timezones can enjoy less lag tonight. Then to top it off we're going to host this between the hours of 1 to 7pm when most individuals will be in school or at work. Whilst this event is going on lets also test code the new forums so people can't give their input because they're busy and encourage pressure on the servers. this was very poorly planned overall =/.
I find it really unfair that it really puts people who weren't able to battle it due to school/work at a HUGE disadvantage. And because it's cumulative, the people who fought in the first battle will always be ahead of the people just starting in the second battle :/

I hope everyone who battled her will get some reward. :3 It would be a little unfair if only the last person who get to smack her will get rewarded. But anyway, I´m happy that others will get their chance to fight as well. :D
Yea, the lag was pretty annoying as well as subeta was crashing. I didn't get much time to battle due to some RL storms going on yesterday and early today, but even so, I did a little damage.
Also, the Lag is really annoying when it comes to going to Esther's shop as well.
I'm so happy for the break. ^_^; But I'm also happy to know she'll be coming back later! Really enjoying this little plot so far! (:
I agree with Jovi's sentiments regarding the day of the week. I got home from school and only got to battle Tempest a few times before she was down for the count. :P I certainly hope that if we're going to battle her again, it won't be while I'm at school.

I don't see how this is giving people in other time zones a better chance at battling. We've already had 7 hours to rack up damage, and we will continue when the next one comes out. This just gives people in this time zone an overwhelming advantage.
It's actually really unfair for anyone who had work, school, etc. to do today. (Why was this released on a monday and not a weekend?)

Personal damage total will be cumulative when Tempest returns. (So yes, you'll get to battle her again, we just wanted to give you guys a little break!) I fear that Tempest is much too strong to be defeated in a mere /7 hours/ c: (Plus I'm sure people in other timezones would like to have a go at battling her!)
