Allaur - nope, today's battle challengers provide their own reward with the loot items attached to each of them! No plot points.
Smaller plots like this (like the Jewelry plot) haven't -usually- had points, but since there are no achievements so far it could be going in that direction. I doubt staff will confirm (or even hint) either way, though.

I have the net in my inventory and absolutely have no idea what to do? Esther keeps saying to go to her greenhouse, but there's nothing there? I'm so confused and this lag is driving me insane.

I really do hope that battling them all isn't required. I mean, I've been training my lil' Leo for the past few weeks but it'll be a stretch even defeating the second one. I'm praying that defeating all of them aren't mandatory (or I'm going to have to use my precious CSC to autotrain him).

Well I can defeat the 1st 4 (originally I thought there were 4 but there are 5). Can't defeat the last one even with my best pet. However between the site crashes and super lag it's going to take all day to do these battles. sigh
I only could win the first two. :P I hope the next step will be available for everybody regardless if you beat any opponents or not. :3

Achievements aren't working properly for this kind of battling I'm afraid - but the usual loot prizes are available! ALso, this step isn't REQUIRED if you don't want to battle. We just know that a lot of people like to battle :)
