Let the Masquerade Begin!

On your masks, get set, go! It's that hip-shaking time of year again, I hope you're decked out in your finest dancing digs. The Dancing Forums are open and waiting for your toes! Every time you dance with a partner, you both earn a handful of valuable trinkets!

Remember, you need to be wearing a Masquerade mask to get into the party! Lucky for you, <a href=http://subeta.net/shop.php?shopid=48>Olivette has quite the selection for you to pick from. Just look at these new beauties, you're going to look simply ravishing!

As if your feet aren't sore enough, you may want to browse the newest selection of items from The Steamworks Menagerie to load up on some souvenirs! Some of the most antique of items have been removed from the shop, but thankfully there is plenty of gorgeous new stock to keep you on those toes! I heard something about there being more items on their way, even.

Make sure to stay hydrated! The Libertine Lounge has all the snacks and sips you'll need to keep your feet moving.

Note: Steamworks Menagerie, Libertine Lounge, and Migrating Masks will remain open for two weeks after the Masquerade comes to an end, and then close for the season. At closing, the 2011 items from the Steamworks Menagerie will be retired. The Libertine Lounge has agreed to bring back their entire stock for next year.

Masquerade has been really great this year -- it's my first time!! :'D I'm kind of sad that the shop will be closing so early though... when does Masquerade end so I can prepare to get everything I want before I miss out? Also apparently last year users were able to cash in Lounge trinkets into Menagerie trinkets... this would be a super helpful feature to bring back next year since I have an overabundance of Lounge trinkets!! I also am really wishing that we could see the usernames of others in the forums... it's pretty difficult to do events when you are not able to ping someone because you don't know who they are!!! I will try to take part in the site event if the lag will allow me too ^^. I don't get far in events like this because the forum boards move so quickly a lot of our posts get ignored by accident XD. I'm still trying to see what is fun about the event and give it another try just for the fun of it ^^.

Guys what are you talking about the steamworks trinkets are still for sale on the libertine lounge The bags of trinkets are under 2011 and the single trinket under 2010

I don't want Lounge Trinkets, and if we can't exchange for Menagerie Trinkets, then I really don't want to participate. How are we supposed to collect anything in Menagerie if we can't get the trinkets?

Why can we not trade in our Lounge trinkets for steamworks trinkets like all the other years??? Not everybody wants to collect stuff from the lounge and we have always been able to buy steamwork trinkets from the lounge shop 2 for 1. Why not this year?

I feel like this years events have been ratherâ€¦ boring.. and dull. Nothing exciting at all. :( Usually I'd be ecstatic about the masquerade, but there's nothing interesting or new about it. No wonder I've been on less than once a week lately! Nothing new and exciting to do.. We need a new plot/event!!

For those buying the items and having to scroll back to where you were. Right click(or whatever it is for whatever system your using) over "buy" and open in another tab,that way you won't lose your place.

Seriously this needs to be a thing because I am so tired of hearing complaints,I appreciate keith and staff for what they are doing,I support the shop closing,and I am going to go enjoy the masquerade now :)

Ugh, well, this isn't good. I work quite late most days (besides the weekends, that is), and I don't like to have to spend all day dancing (anon our names too? What if we want to have chats for our groups?!), plus learning about the retirements isn't helping either... As well as the lag.

Looks like I should've participated last year so I could've gotten a ton of trinkets and not had to worry about this...

I knew that the retirements were coming (they were definitely needed), but the way the shop was ordered before made it really hard to tell what year an item was released. And we had no way of knowing how many years worth were going to be retired. I did already have most of the older items, but if I had know exactly what items were being retired this year (instead of having to guess) I would have bought a few more of them. So, I'm not a fan of how the retirements were handled this year.

That being said, I love the new items that were released this year. The artwork is just beautiful. :) The artists deserve a round of applause for their efforts this year!

I agree with everybody else:

I was soooo happy, when you changed the hotch potch of the shops to be ordered by category, now it's back to the confusing clutter.

And like all the other shops ordered by year, whenever you buy something from a previous, it annoyingly returns to 2014, you have to search through the whole page again, which makes buying even more tedious. It's somehow made like the trade center instead of every year beein on an actual page on itself. This is unbearable to work with.

Also do not understand, why, when every event shop with special currency has been changed to staying open for ever, even some been reopened, these 2 will be closed? You definitely should reconsider to at least keep them open for a week after the event, BECAUSE THE LAG IS A KILLER AND NEEDING TO ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING IN IT UNACCEPTABLE. On the other hand I was very surprised, when I back then found out, that the mask shop all of a sudden was open all year round. So I am fine with closing that again, since it sells itmes only needed throughout this season.

I hope it's not mandatory to take part in these site events. Every event lags like crazy for me and I miss out on every days questing until the event is over. I'm not taking part in this site event so hopefully Calvin will stay away from me. I've seen him twice in the last half hour. The site was doing so well for the last few days too....

Someone should tell Quentin to please stop asking for items from these shops if they will be closing later :). The clothing shop barely loads as it is because the images lag like I've never seen before.
I wondered why I got a bad gateway error when I was trying to read a book to one of my pets XD. Have fun with the site event everyone I hope you have a great time ^_^.

Wonderful new items! However, I do have to add my opinion ot those who don't like the fact the shops will close. So many times, Menagerie and Libertine items come up in quests, and it's wonderful to be able to go buy something you need instead of paying inflated prices or quitting the quest.

Closing two weeks after? I like to wait until later to buy since I won't have to fight the lag and errors as I decide over the items. Now I'm going to have to buy everything I want now instead of hoping I remember or remembering when the warning goes out. :/

I was going to to get older stuff when the shop was reformatted to organize everything by year (as I can only assume that's what the reformat was...the shop won't load for me). And as already pointed out, we are warned about retirements for everything else, so why not this? I also join the ranks of everyone asking why the shop is closing at the end of the event. None of the other event shops seem to, so why these? I guess I'll get enough trinkets to buy what I need and just stay logged off for the rest of the event. There's no reason to stay on through all the impending hiccups if participating will be pointless to me.

GORGEOUS new items, time to spread the dance fever! As for the shops closing after the event is over, it's disappointing since I don't generally like to rush but i'll just have to make sure to go through and get the items I want the most before then. It's not a big world ending deal. :)

On another note, I don't know if i'm just really unlucky or what but I seem to only be getting Lounge trinkets rather than both Lounge and Steamworks trinkets..

Don't really like that the shops will close. As far as I know, literally every other event/holiday shop stays open year round, even though there wont be new currency coming in. I think it's really stupid and I really hope you rethink it!

W.T.F. is up with closing the shops? I always wait to buy my stuff, it's easier that way for me. Event shops have always been year round... do the retirements after two weeks, but leave the shops. What a pointless and randomly spiteful change.

I was planning on getting some books to read to my battle pet during a recent reading spree, then decided, "Ah, it's almost the Masquerade, I'll just wait and buy everything at once" little knowing that a bunch of stuff was about to be retired with absolutely no warning whatsoever. Why couldn't you have retired everything you wanted to retire at the end of this Masquerade so we'd have had some warning first?

Why on earth will the shop be closing after Masquerade is over?! Now I can't spend my trinkets whenever I want. Not happy Â¬_Â¬. Pleased that Masquerade has started though. I recently acquired my dream mask and am looking forward to wearing it to the event.
