without the holiday shop most of the "wanted" items were hard to come by.... any chance (esp after reading all comments) you could re-instate said holiday shop?

I'm with AZAZEL here. I didn't care much for the Alegarten shop, but I'd much prefer something like that then everything being hit or miss in the main shops (since it appears everything was mostly a miss this go-round). Like Phayom I didn't have a chance to really grab much of what I wanted - most was bought from user shops after the fact - because of work. (It is pretty common knowledge that I do log in and play from work /a lot/ but due to the unexpected passing of a co-employer the end of last year was a complete and utter clusterfuck of uncertainty)

I think that the holiday shop could really work for some -if not all- holidays now that the wrapping paper is gone. Instead of having it open all the time, run it sort of like the Freyalise Trading Co. shop. Using Lumi as the example here the holiday shop would have been open from December 1 to January 28. Open when the holiday items come out then close it back up when the items are retired.

~ I am also so frustrated. I'm still reeling from the loss of the Holiday shop and haven't restocked a single Luminaire item. This was my least favourite holiday in all my years on Subeta and I'm so sad about it.

If you guys bring back the alegarten method, ill seriously quit. I didnt get anything I wanted because only food was available when i was off work. It was incredibly unfair and everything was obscenely priced. Id prefer this method to the alegarten system.

Where have all the reindeer gone?

I realise the reindeer are probably laying back with their feet up, eating cookies and debating bragging rights after their hard seasonal graft but very few ever appeared to RS except Cupid who seems to need more love than the others. I think I spotted only one other reindeer over the whole season.

I havent seen 99% of these anywhere, this new system is frustrating. I appreciate the effort, but i much prefer the old Holiday Shop, and miss it dearly. :(

I didn't see one scrap of Lumineve items in any of the normal shops. I'd rather just have the holiday shop back, that way I could actually have a chance of finding something. Keep the new wrapping paper system, just bring back the shop please.

In all honesty, the only problem that I could think of with the holiday shop is the wrapping paper, but I think that the shop could return now that wrapping is done differently now. shrug

As with everyone else, I'd love to see the return of the Holiday shop but have ONLY holiday items in it. I didn't get anything this year because I mainly rely on vending and figuring out which vending machine gives what was just as bad as having to stalk shops in hopes of getting something I wanted. Some of the main shops don't even vend anymore, such as Stick It To The Man, so that makes it even worse.

Could Keith/staff/somebody explain what the problem was with the holiday shop? I saw a comment in the forums that it was "boring," but what does that mean? Is there usage data that showed people weren't restocking there very much? Were there lots of complaints?

I much prefer using the Holiday Shop! RSing this season was difficult and quite unrewarding for the time spent trying to locate and buy the items.

I don't get what was wrong with the holiday shop or why it's being "fixed"? Most user I'm seeing (myself included) are clear that they miss it and preferred it.

I think the only things I got were frosted holiday cookies from the bake shop (those should be on the list, right?) I think other people got those too, I know the prices of them went down a lot. That's all I saw though I think.

"The items that were unretired into the various user shops will be reretiring on January 28th." what does "various user shops" mean in this context? the various site stores [plushie parlor/stick it to the man...so on?] or the shops players own? how can items from the players' shop be [re]retired..? o.o

Was only able to get some of the items due to vending and quests.

While I didn't enjoy the way it worked for Alegarten, I think I liked it better than this. I do miss the holiday shop.

Thankfully I got quite a few of these items in previous years, otherwise I'd have zero chance of getting them with the new system currently in place.

i didn't restock anything either. once the holiday shop was gone and dragon's hoard no longer had all the holiday items, i gave up. i have no clue where to find anything and when i did do some restocking i didn't see anything.

We're taking this feedback very seriously and figuring out how to distribute items without just tossing them into a holiday shop and that being the end of it. Thanks for your feedback guys :)

I haven't seen most things I needed, and judging by the prices on most rares, other people also have not.

This is why I didn't want the mystery box/holiday shop to go away :( I'd even prefer the alegarten way to this.

Restocking the items I need has honestly been too difficult this year. :( Having very little idea of what's available or where things are besides Icy Goods was no fun at all.

I have restocked a grand total of two items this year. Two. That's all I caught. It's been absolutely awful. This is why I didn't want the Holiday shop to be closed. Despite the fact that I had Stick it to the Man and the Plushie Parlor open for most of December, I hardly caught anything and usually I only glimpsed the stuff that I did. I don't know who keeps buying everything but they must have some serious skills. I never had this much of a problem catching stuff before or indeed with restocking in general.

Yeah, I think the next holiday that things get unretired it would be super useful to have a list of the items and where they are restocking. I really tried looking through all sorts of shops during December and eventually gave up because many of the items were a pain to find if they weren't in Icy Goods.

i couldnt find the ones i needed or didnt know where to look so it was quite nerve recking to try to find it out the few moments i was able to come online !!!!

and if i did see something popping up by accident if i was restocking there for a quest it was just gone in an eyeblink anyway - i prefered the holiday shop - than at least i knew where to restock even when the top restockers where grabbing most of it i was able to snag now and than an item !! but now this year i couldnt get the missing ones at all -
