No, cause they are the same item, just in different states. I'm pretty the dog/bird reverts back to it's original state when in trads/shops/auctions.

I think that you should change the names of the bird and dog to Gear Shifter Dog/ Bird so people do not confuse them with the gun. Anybody else agree?

Yes, it will stay in differentforms. Gear Shifter has a "Transform" option that will switch his currentform to another.
