[item=Heave Ho: The Broken Heart]

50csc???

why did it take 125 CSC?

Any reason why it's now 125 CSC?

exactly who was the genius who thought to deflate these collection items to more than a tenth of their price? and i don't even mean inflated, 50 mil prices either - i mean the going value of 250 csc. i don't get truly annoyed often, but this was just horribly executed and utterly inane. great job.

I heard that once a while back when someone suggested this there were issues with this idea and gambling laws. Was all that sorted out?

Nothing ever holds value. Anyone that has been on this sight longer than a year, should know and expect items to lose their value as time goes by. I remember people buying Shinigamis for 300 dollars. Yes, that's right 300.00 US Dollars. They are now down to less than 50 mil sP. Life sucks and you don't always get what you want and whats worth gold today will be worth a pittance tomorrow. I don't like it, but that's the way it is.

I think 100-150 CSC per vend would've made more sense. Not even luminaire gifts are this cheap and they give you 3 DPs (averaging at about 167 CSC per DP). Some of which could be useless minions already under 1m!

This definitely discourages me from buying collections ASAP. Yeah, HOW DARE I expect a COLLECTION item to hold even 50% of its value. If these items were meant to be easily obtainable then they should have been from the start.

I feel like one of the easiest solutions to this would've been to widen the net of the vending machine to practically all donation items. :x There aren't a lot of items in the vending machine right now, which makes it more likely to deflate certain items by flooding the market with them. But I guess that would make this about the same as a Lumineve Present, so eh.

I think most of us complaining would be a lot less upset if Subeta had chosen to release these items at 250 csc. I think we would feel less cheated that way, since we aren't out any money. The fact that they were released so cheapily is what gets me.

Four Regal Platinum Headdresses in a row. I'd complain, but it was my choice to gamble. Hopefully I'll be able to sell or trade three of them away...

spend 400 csc and got the same books and some stuff under 1m, oh the price dropped of course, and the items i want are ''rare'' so i should stop.

And one thing to make people whine less about the collection items is to like, use the vending machine just for brading spanking new items but the collection items like a really rare outcome from it Just like in the regular vending machines you get the chance to get collection items too (of course on the csc vending machines it would be a little less rare than on the normal machines, but still, not with the same chances as any other item)

'completely ignorant'? Come on. Some of these items are just over a year old at a fifth of the price. All of their respective collections are buyable in shop search (correct me if I'm wrong). Nothing here was unobtainable.

I like the clothing items, and the peacock. Nothing else appeals to me. Shame that I'm broke, the price for this vending machine is great! I'll just save up and buy everything later I guess. XD

Also people really will complain about everything.

Kudos to you subeta! If you are stupid enough to believe items in your collection will never get re-released, You are completely ignorant. I have seen all kinds of items become re-release: last year's lumi hustler sale and holiday shop gift boxes was a prime example. If subeta never re-released anything, everyone would rage so hard. Items would become un-obtainable and you would never have a chance to get anything.

I am with everybody, who believes, rare and valuable , DP and collection items in particular, should retain their value and rarity.

I was bummed to see, all Graveyard Shop goods, a lot of them very rare and sought after, have been turned into useless rubbish thanks to someone coming up with the bright idea of labelling them "Game Prize". wtf?

How is "Interview With a Snow Fairy" a Collection Item? This is a completely new book? Or is it from next month's Collection already?!?

Very pretty items, though!

I have bought things at higher amounts and now they're lower so I'm buying them too. ;) I see no bad here. But then I buy to keep the item, not to just sell it later.

I totally understand where you're coming from Elf and Seerow, and have said the same thing the various times this has happened around the site (Hustler in Cash Shop, books worth millions being vendable, rare chance items in the Cash Shop). Unfortunately, few people seem to agree that items should actually retain value and whatever I have said has fallen on deaf ears. Aside from a couple of monthly things, now I only tend to buy sale items and buy a very limited amount of chance items (I collect hair coupons so...). Honestly, I'd never pay more than 10 mil for any cash items these days, because you're just going to get screwed one day. I don't think it's a healthy thing for the economy at all, but that's how it is.

I am really really curious to know why this wasn't made 250 csc or even higher per item. I don't understand why rare and retired items are brought back at such an incredibly steep discount. Heck these are cheaper then the current collections. I'm perfectly fine with old items beinbroughtback from time to time but why punish us and deflate them so much. A lot of these items aren't even all that old or hard to come by.

The difference is that you've had the enjoyment of using the item ever since you got it.

People pay more for the priviledge of having an item NOW rather than waiting months or years to have it eventually.

I think making it 50 csc for the vending machines is good BUT with many many more items added to it so that it doesn't become too easy or cheap to get what you want

You'd be upset to if you spent $10 in CSC that you bought with real money to buy an item that in theory would never be released again aside from the very unlikely event of getting it from a lumineve present. And now it's worth 1.8mill. Which is also less than buying the collection for 250csc when it was available. Yeah, ok it sucks. And I usually don't care about this sort of thing, FYI. But this is just subeta being like hey, we want more money, screw the value of your collection. Whether or not you ever want to sell it or not doesn't mean anything. There's a sort of pride that comes along with owning valuable items (Irl too, duh), and then when they aren't worth anything anymore it's just kind of like, eh all of that for nothing. And I'm sorry and I imagine people will call me a dick for this, I don't care about people who "never have a chance to own it" Because unless it's like there's 5 of the thing on site like CWs a shitload of which are entirely private, you can have it if you save up for it and work for it and hunt down a seller. Of course, really old shit and battle things are hard to come by, but these now vendable collection things aren't that old or exclusive. Just expensive as fuck because people hold onto them.

Tl;DR, if you want something, work for it. Don't wait for it be handed to you. You are entitled to nothing just because bawww it's so expensive I'll never have it.

Mostly I'm annoyed because I usually make an effort to make sure I get any collection items I want when they're in the cash shop because they were not supposed to be released again like this. Otherwise, why buy it for 250csc when I can have it for under 2mill later?

I want to know if this machine is permanent, or if items will rotate, or if this is disappearing at the end of the week.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by rhino_loupe
User Avatar

Will the items available be rotated? Many of these have already deflated to below the cost of 50 CSC.

One thing you must learn about Subeta to save yourself much disappointment... NOTHING stays retired forever. Nothing.

Also, what you said about collections staying retired is just incorrect. Lumineve Gift has been around for a long time, and that gives old collection items. It's in the cash shop every year.

It always bothers me just how nasty people get about older items being brought back. Yes it deflates the price - and it also gives other users a chance to actually own an item that they could have never afforded. Odds are, you weren't going to sell that outrageously priced item any time soon anyway. I fully agree that it sucks when you were desperate to sell said item, but... usually if you have all those rare beauties you're pretty well off to begin with.

Nice to have a chance at getting some old CIs! :D I hope this one is going to stay around, and change items periodically? I'd like to see this as a way to get more old CIs in circulation, without devaluing them as much as the Wiz Token machines have done to some.

CSC? I feel like it would be cheaper to just buy the items once prices start to come down than spend a fortune in real $ with very little chance that I would happen to get the exact item I want. No thanks.

I'm actually rather dissapointed in this. I would have much rather have the old dps brought back to the cash shop for 250 csc then put in here for only 50 credits. Donation items hold value decently usually but the handful here will likely deflate pretty quickly. Why not just all new items or a much much larger pool.
