I actually did mention the wish to remain at the temple in my Nue's profile. c; If you look at her friends / shoutouts section, Byakuren is listed and explained fairly near the bottom of it. My Nue isn't all one-sided maliciousness~ The fun thing about Touhou is that you can take canon and build off of it, which is.. pretty much what I did here. It's boring to me to rely strictly on canon, because then it's restricting, you know?

Yes, but don't a lot of characters say things along those lines before you fight? And indeed, she is mischievous and far from always being kind about it. However, she also decides to train and try to help out at Byakuren's temple when she feels guilty for her actions.

But even to counter that, there's no doubt that her interactions with humans would be different. One of the fun things about Touhou is that there are a lot of ways to interpret it. I think I'm just more used to seeing a more current "canon point," so to speak.

Well, yes, she is fairly malicious. ouo! Her dialogue in UFO's EX Stage is pretty.. out there. "You know what I look like now, so I'll have to bury you here", "Die from your fear of the unknown!", and whatnot. It makes her personality just really work with what she does, her powers, and all that.
