Something went haywire on the back end of things. The gelatins were taken down until the achievements start working again!

Yeah, there are plenty of gelatin's left. I'm still trying to figure out why my battle pet isn't showing up in the drop down menu. It's not hungry or bored and it's not in another battle, but it's still not showing up.

Anyone else experiencing problems with the achievement not updating for this? I've defeated them 51 times, but it says I have only done 25 :/

Wow what a great surprise when I came in this afternoon ^^. Thank you for bringing this back :D. I've been slowly working on this achievement for a very long time and now I can try to get even further with it: 1,487/2,500 is my progress so far XD. Hang in there friends you can do it just keep trying. I believe in you ^^.

Eeh...I think the 25 achievement is as high as I'm gonna go, I don't really feel like it's worth it to sit around and kill 2500 of these things for a sword I won't get to use for a looooong time since my highest pet is tier 3.

I got the vast majority of my kills against the minis in one year with a bunch of really little pets and one which was probably what would be considered t6 (I could be wrong about that though, as there weren't tiers and it was a long time ago. D: ). It wasn't hard, just amazingly time consuming, as in: I totally hated battling for weeks afterwards.... haha. From what I remember, even when I was really far along in kills against them, they were never "hard", it just took a ton of turns to kill them.

I wonder if I can get to 1000 with a tier 3 pet.. probably not. Hopefully 500 at least. :I Then back to training. This event kinda reminds me that I've started neglecting it again haha.

Well, if it's any consolation, I only had 13 wins toward the achievement when I started battling today, so it's just as hard for me as it is for anyone else. Almost at 400 now.

Aw, I was only able to get to about 30 wins before it started getting hard, but my battle pet isn't quite up to insane standards yet. Funnily enough, I've been putting him through training all weekend :P At least I got two achievements out of it.

I don't mind working hard to earn something but I think it's ridiculous that I and everyone else must work harder than people who have earned it in the past. I don't think that is an unreasonable reason to be upset.

We haven't changed the stats on any of the opponents, which is what we meant by not moving the goalposts. The mini gelatins were not meant to reset last year, either; there was an unfortunate incident that led to every opponent getting reset. The slayer isn't supposed to be super easy to get, and never was. That said, even without wins reset, it's not that hard. You can rack up quite a few wins with lower-tier pets, and wins from all of your pets count towards the achievement. We'll be releasing waves of minis all week, too.

All other opponents in the gelatin war have been reset already.

Prior to last year they were reset also this is a new thing not resetting them. Changing achievement for the sake of making them more difficult, how is that fair to anyone trying to earn them? remember how upset people were when they try to do this with the gourmand achievement? this is pretty much the same thing. people in years prior got a break and didn't have to not sleep the entire week to get anywhere on this achievement. I mean I spent a lot of time getting up to almost 700 wins last year. to get that many now will be at least triple the time and that is crap.

Seriously, I've been sitting at home for the last 4 days watching my face melt off...NOW you decide to release the gelatins when I have to go to work in a few hours OTL -_-

My secondary battle pet (tier 3) can easily get 50 wins in one turn each with 2 masquerade shop weapons and no potions/spells. Whether or not they reset the gelatins doesn't change how many were released and since it's a tier 9 weapon I think if you have a couple lower tiered pets you can definitely rally up a nice sum of wins and with just a tier 9 pet I'm sure you could get yourself a Slayer, even if you didn't have those lower tiered battle pets to help you out (although a tier one pet can beat him a few times I'm pretty sure if you needed the help).

Really the more time you spend complaining about resets the less Gelatins there are for you to fight.
