Oh definitely. I'm sure the artist feels the same way.
Good artists (and Goth certainly is) ought to be happy to receive some decent, constructive criticism.

Aww, i'm going to be sad forever about the removal of the text from the cover of the Russian textbook, but aside from that, the revamps look good. I'm glad the physics textbook basically still looks the same, anyway...that's probably my favorite book on here. I hope my comment doesn't come across as too negative because i really appreciate all the updated art we are getting lately, but i had the Russian book in a couple of TCs and now it looks rather plain.

Just to be clear, I actually really love most of the new updates, and I appreciate the time that the artists have put into their work. Still, I think criticism, as long as it's constructive and not just "I hate it!" is valuable.

Although I actually agree with some of MmeGoosie's criticisms, I am grateful for all the revamps that have been done lately. Thank you guys! Even if it isn't always perfect.

The new look of the potions books are amazing, just lovely, but I have some problems with some of the other new styles. The language textbooks, for example, are done with a sort of "soft-focus" look, and it just doesn't work very well. The art is a definite improvement/update on the old style, but in some cases it's rather poorly done. Take the French Textbook: the new perspective is great, and gives a nice view of the spine of the book which is very nicely rendered, but the lines of the Eiffel Tower on the cover are blurred, indistinct, and the cover as a whole has some strange lowlights and shadows going on. You can detect a bit of a crease near the bottom right corner, which looks fine, but that same kind of shading is done near the top third of the cover/tower, and seems entirely out of place. The English Textbook is another that seems much too "blurry." The text on the cover looks squished and, again, out of focus, while the writing itself seems too informal. It works well for the Espanol Textbook because it's written in all caps, is more easily read, and the look of the book is much more informal with the bull's horns and tail. However, the English Textbook had a more severe, reserved look that just isn't communicated as well with this iteration. Removing the different languages from the covers of many of the books (Korean, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Hebrew, and even Greek) seems an odd choice, as well. Those books are otherwise nicely done, but I miss seeing the different characters on those books. If the revamps could be done more along the lines of the new Potions I, II, III; For the Elwood Following; Glittery Notebook; Fuzzy (Whatever) Journal; 101 Ways to Bribe the Old Wizard styles, I think things would look a bit neater and nicer. I think that books, by virtue of their usual shape and purpose, should be more distinct, with well-defined lines/text/edges; the soft-focus just doesn't work for these.
