Another Battle Update!

We have a couple more battle changes to announce! First, Buttwing Bomber, Oslyae the Amazonian Montre, Tide, Mephysto, Felibot 1.0.1, and Ice King all drop new weapon loot on your fifth win!

Second, with the exception of Aboxalypse, Duqinox, and Forj Matriarch, the Dormant, all opponents formerly classified as easy and medium (from Arnold to Tide on the challenger page) now also drop a special egg on your fifth win against them! These eggs are stat boosters that can only be used by pets in Tier 1 through Tier 3. There are five different eggs to earn!

EDIT: The egg boosters can now be fed to your pets as well! We're looking into adding more options for them in the near future.

Wins on all of these opponents have been reset so that everyone has a chance to earn the new loot. Head over to the Battle Coliseum and get yourself some new items!

oh yay! My pet is a small guy, and though I faithfully train, since it is my policy not to spend "real money" on it (aka lots of csc), it's a slow, slow process. I love oracle and now this? Very exciting. :) Thanks subeta staff. :D

Must say, having started started redoing battles with pets able, I am disappointed to learn that the eggs can't be put in galleries or at least my vault. I understand them not being for sale, but I hate the idea that I could lose one to a random event before I decide what I want to do with it. Cripes, I still have 2 Loyalty Boxes waiting for me to decide what to do with them! lol

There&;s a couple reasons we don&;t want them to be sold. First off, we don&;t want to see anyone buying themselves a tier 4 pet. (Granted, they can do it anyways, but the boosters are MUCH more expensive). The boosters would completely flood the market, which isn&;t the point. Also, people could adopt a pet, battle to get all the boosters, then abandon it... then repeat forever. It could lead to someone making a small fortune. That&;s NOT the goal of these eggs. They are for newer battlers, for them to earn themselves, in hopes that they find battling fun and want to continue to battle and train!
So this is why we can't more the eggs out of our inventory? It's either feed or use? Not even vaulting is an option? I wanted the eggs for my hoard of items! :c how sad...

Like a lot of people I was upset by the revamp but I'm getting used to it and I really appreciate the changes in xp costs for low tire pets and the eggs are very nice too. I think this makes things a little more fair for people who don't have all the time in the world to spend on Subeta. Thank you very much for this addition and for resetting the opponents.

Considering how high-tier-oriented a lot of battling is with this system, I'm super psyched to see a bit of a motivator for the little guys. We don't benefit greatly from BQs because we can't beat most of the opponents. We don't get any of the really interesting drops from event challengers because we can't beat any of the big guys. For us to get a little bonus, a little treat, it means a lot! I'm not sure if this particular implementation is quite perfect as is, and I'm excited to see any if it gets tweaked in any more ways, but the idea behind it makes me a happy baby-battler. Especially since I literally just started training a tier one pet like... two days ago.

THANKS GAISE.

Jamileigh17 -- ah, yes, I forgot to mention the Forj in the news post. We decided not to have cash shop opponents drop the eggs, which is why Duqinox and the Forj don't. :)

What's the reasoning behind not allowing them to be sold? They're limited to tiers, so it's not as though someone can buy up a bunch and boost to t10 or something.

Also, when you say "fifth win" does that mean every 5th win, or just your first 5? Thanks

Essentially it's like this: The higher stats your pet has, the higher tier it is. The more you train it and the stringer it gets, the higher it's tier. Simple but pretty smart.

-- didn't mean to offend you, sorry! I have no issues with you. Just replied to you because your comment was the most negative of the very few negative comments, and I wanted to explain a bit. :)

With autotraining, yes, smaller pets gain stats faster. But as far as earning exp goes, they have always made a lot less per day than we people with bigger pets did, so it was slow going for them with spending exp for stats. Now that's more even. Bigger pets still earn the better loot, as well as tome drops and other stat-booster drops (scales of red rreign, stuff like that), and they tend to make more SP from battling/advance more easily than smaller pets whose owners are struggling to upgrade their sets and gain stats. It was keeping a lot of new people from even starting. We're hoping to draw more users into the battle community with these changes. But don't worry, we have lots of stuff coming for the big guys, too. The hard-and-up challengers will be included in a reset later on when we change how experience works (for one thing, it'll increase with each fight won instead of decrease, which has always been backwards). :)

It was just made even more unhappy by the sarcastic comment, cheers.

We gain stats faster? Um, my pet currently gets four autotrain sessions a day and my tier 3s get about 19. What part of that is faster, even if I was to get like 15k from battle quests o.O

All I would've liked more was for T4 to be included in the group (that's where my pets are now). There's still a lot of training to get to T5/6 and to be able to challenge those opponents.

Poor Poison is just having a really unhappy day. ;)

Poison, we people with big pets can earn a lot of exp in battle quests every day, and we tend to be able to sell the loot we earn from big opponent for more SP (because there are fewer people winning each thing). We already tend to gain stats more quickly than smaller pets... and we want to get newer people more into battling, hence this making it a little easier for them when they're starting out. We do have some stuff planned for the bigger battlers as well, of course... we have a lot of fun things coming this year. :)

Aboxalypse doesn't seem to have reset properly. I've only fought it three times tonight and my pet's wins for it are at 13. They only thing it says when I win against it is that I've gotten a medal.

- Yes, it would. But the goal of the boosters and the new weapon loots are to make battlers more self-sufficient. Allow them to earn it, instead of letting someone buy themselves a tier 4 pet for 100k or something ridiculously cheap. (As easy as it is to get these boosters, they'd sell for next to nothing!)

Why not allow selling them? They're limited by tier, so top tiers won't get ungodly amounts of cheap boosting. It seems like this is an attempt to move more lower tier pets up. Allowing sale of these boosters would do just that.

-- the challengers are still arranged in order from easiest to hardest, so a new player pretty much just has to start at the top of the page and keep going until they run into trouble. :) A good trick is to check the challenger's speed stat -- if it's similar to your pet's speed (and you train pretty much evenly), you probably will be able to defeat that challenger.
