Subeta's battle system has changed! Now all pets and all weapons have been sorted into tiers, and a number of weapons have gotten new stats and effects. Visit this topic for an explanation of the changes!
Really disappointing to see this system be implemented. You shouldn't be restricting those who invested a lot of money into good weapons just because their stats are different. I agree with CatHerder, a percentage reduction would have been a more suitable change as opposed to preventing the use of items altogether.
New system is suck :< Even before it was hard, and now is even worse. I have a pet, 400 + Statistics. Easy are too easy, and hard are too difficult. We have a big jump in our coloseum opponents! ;_;
I don't really battle at all, so I don't really have much of an opinion on the change... but good lord I need the omnitool for my HA right now.
The new weapon looks right cool! Unfortunately, I'm not to happy about this tier thing. I can't use my weapons anymore. ): I never battled much, but still. Not my favorite change to the site.
This is truly terrible, while some of the comments about it applying to normal game logic of having to be of a certain level to use certain equipment, that doesn't work in this case as subeta is not a "video game". A much better way of balancing a pet with base stats wielding a combo legendary would be weapons dealing a % of your pets strength that way all weapons scale with pets abilities, stay relatively balanced, and still give the justly deserved advantage to the person who spent xmillionsp on their weapons sets. I don't think ill be using the BC till it gets re-revamped.
And I thought battling on Neopets was bad... oh wait... no... not anymore.

This is terrible. Honestly now I'm really upset that I just recently made my first cash shop purchase to buy battling equipment. Won't be making that mistake again
This is kind of sucky, now I can't use the majority of my weapons any more, those things cost me millions too! D:

I don't really care about the battle system...I just want the omnitool.
No way will I pay real $ to train a pet for battle, the rules could change again.
I don't really like this even though my pets aren't even strong to win many battles. I still bought some weapons which I am not able to use anymore. e.e;

Does this now mean that my tier 3 pet cannot fight lower tiers? This seem problematic for plots and other things as none of my pets are under tier 3.
i'm not amuzed. spend lots on my set, revamp happens, need to train my pet +300 stats each up to be able to use my set again.

Hey look guys! We released an awesome new weapon to boost those Legendary Combos you now can't use anymore because you don't spend every waking moment of your life babysitting the training gym and/or spend real-life cash on autotraining!

Maybe the price of higher level weapons will come down now that people who can't use them may start selling them off. And healers might go up since I see that some good ones are lower tiers. After checking I'm lucky that it looks like all my pets will be able to use my default weapons. But will have to remember to check the tier whenever I look for a new weapon though.
If that wasn't a weapon priced at 750 creds, I'd buy it just because it looks like an omni-tool from Mass Effect.

Now you have to time to spend training your pet to be able to use those weapons.
Basic game knowledge. Your character has to be a certain level to be able to wield a certain weapon. It would be wrong for a lvl 20 character running around slaying targets with a lvl 45 sword.
So I spend time and money getting good weapons so then later I can't use any of them. That's really fair.

What some of you aren't realizing is that the current opponents will be changed, and all new opponents will be created, so that they are beatable by pets in the "proper" tiers using the "proper" weapons. There will be fun and challenging challengers for all of you in any upcoming site events -- and you may even find that you can beat more challengers than you could before. :)
The tiers are an interesting idea but doesn't seem very fair to those who don't have the time or SPs to train constantly to get super high level pets. My lesser pets were only able to battle for events by using the weapons that all my pets use. It was their only chance. Kinda hope they decide this isn't working well and change it.
Wow, this tier thing is so unfair to occasional battlers. Way to make it harder Subeta Staff. The old way was better, especially if event battles are needed to complete an event.

o.o so now my simple weapons that I put quite a lot of sp into can't even be used by my strongest pet. I don't get how this is better in anyway.

I really love how the new weapon looks and how it is wearable, but it doesn't work with my current HA :) I'll add it to my wishlist and hopefully, find a use for one later on down the line <3
