"Come on down to Yun Enterprises," he says! "We still have a few surprises left up our sleeves!"
We? Because I'm pretty sure we closed almost two hours ago, and yet I'm still here putting the finishing touches on our last surprises. I think I need a vacation. Maybe Darkside is nice this time of year. I've never seen a red sand beach...
Oh, right! So, tomorrow morning, show up bright and early and you can pick up plans for either a steamwork chelon, feli, or montre. If you come tonight, no one will be there to open the door! I'm sorry to tease you like this, but there have been so many requests for these designs that I wanted to make sure they were just perfect. I hope you love them!
ARU is completely right about the Montre's wings snapping if opened enough to attempt flapping. A close look at them shows where they'd need to be hinged or flexible, and quite clearly aren't.
Look at the silver/gray section at the front of the wing that we can see in full, at the top edge of that are two gold/brass hinges that look almost like large staples. This hinge must move to let the wings extend, and on its own it could. But, behind that, toward the tail, there's the light brass colored section with the cut-outs. There's an edge on that which matches the hinge, but that edge isn't flexible or bendable in the least, it won't move. That edge would have to move for the wings to extend properly. Because it doesn't, like ARU had said, the wings would snap if the Montre even tried to flap them.
It's a beautiful looking design, but that's a critical flaw in the functionality.
