I'd like to bring to everyones attention that We are not neopets.

That means, that there should be no talk of neopets on the site, no mention of it.

We are currently having a problem with people using copyrighted neopets images on the site. This is not allowed, and by using this image you are violating the neopets terms and conditions, which can land you in legal trouble.

Not only that, you also disobeying the Subeta T&C, which could land in the suspension of your account.

Any further discussion of the above-mentioned petsite, or any other sites will result in warnings, if not freezings.

I joined Neopets years ago and got tired of it
in about a year...
Since then Ive joined about 10 others and Id say this isnt the best one Ive been on (dont hurt me XD)
but its close,
and its getting better!
I wish I could get a Demi plushie in real life
though! ^^

I said warnings, or or freezings.

I'm not worried about loosing the members, its just getting out of hand. THere have been 4 neopets topics made in teh past day. Even if your saying SUBETA IS BETTER THAN NEOPETS, I dont really care. If you think its better, thats great. You can make a post about why subeta is better.

As for the 'cant even type the site name'. I never said that. I just dont want you to make the site name. And its my site, my property, so I can say what you can and cannot say. You are more than free to exersize your freedom of speach, but if I dont like it, I can ban you. Or warn you. Or get rid of the post. Read the T&C, you've given me permission to, by joining the site. Thanks

Anyways. Its just gotten annoying. If you want to talk about neopets, do it on neopets. If you want to talk about another site, do it on that site. Not here.

I actually agree with Julie. I really don't see the big deal in mentioning or talking about the other pet site. I like it, and I like Subeta. (i spend moret time here, but i play there a while too). But, of course, no images.

To be honest, I really don't see why that's such a big deal. 0_o; .. I personally like Subeta more than that other place. So what if it's more franchised, .. this place is still more fun. I don't think it's very fair to just instantly ban someone [ especially someone that doesn't know that rule ] if they mention another pet site .. what's the big deal about it? That rule kind of makes it seem like Subeta is afraid of losing its members, but rest assured I won't be going anywhere else anytime soon. : I've tried other pet sites, and the ' other ' one is fun, but I come here every day, and pretty much spend all my time here while online. I'm sure others do that, too.

The ONLY thing that I agree with here is the using images from there on Subeta .. that is rather stupid. But what if someone says something like, " Dude, Subeta is sooo much cooler than PetWorld. " ? .. will they be banned for that? ... I think the rule needs to be looked over a little .. . or at least give people a warning before banning them .. banning them instantly is a little extreme I think.

Just my opinion. :B Don't bash me please kthx.

i have never had any warning or seen any rule over at the other site i belong too regarding the discusion of subeta.net and i have been a member there for 11 months. and i update myself of their rules every couple of weeks to see any changes.

Keep in mind, it's not allowed to talk about here at other sites, either. But they do, anyways. I suggest if you talk about the other site, do it through mail.

sorry for posting again but i just thought up another point. also what about the possible other prosective members that may join here from word of mouth from the other sites, they in turn could end up become gold members here hence bringing in more income into this site. a small conflict such as this may hender that aspect on a finacial basis. i personally like both sites, but this 1 does not limit it's gold membership to a minimum number, so if i wanted to purchase a membership here i could without waiting for a position to become available.

actually if it weren't for a friend of mine over at the other site i would have never known about this one. so it can't be all bad. i understand the legalities of it all, since bringing up the legal laws outside the site on copywritting, so to rule that we can't even type the site name, wouldn't that be in violation of our civil rights on freedom of speech. i have no problems abidding by the rules, but as my own personal opinion, if legalities are going to be insued then it should be upheld by both parties(1 being the members and 2 being the site owners) again don't condemn me just for having an opinion.

My feeling is that when a new user joins there should be something when he signs up to say that there must be no mention of any other petsite, otherwise he/she will not know and is bound to post something on the forums to the effect of "Hi I'm new. I've just come from blah blah". I see it time and time again.

I would say to you Kitsune there has been mixed messages on this subject at one time there was a thread in the forums about it.
Then staff members have in the shout box and other places asked to trade Sps for Neopoints or vice versa so that is confusing and the only way we can get this settled once and for all is for there to be one rule that is downpact and to be followed by all and the specifics on just exactly what is allowed and what is not allowed. I don't want to see anyone lose their account because they ignorantly violated a rule. Especially someone like me who has worked tiredlessly on painting my pets. Developing personalities. Purchasing look ups. Recoding Look ups to suit me. Worked hours and hours on my user space and made many posts in the forums . I wanna know exactly what I am alloweed to do and what I am not so I do not violate terms and conditions. Mind you I would never use a Neopets avvie or put Neopet pictures up on Subeta. I just wanna obey the rules because with my depression in the shape it is now losing these pixels would break my heart.

i think both sites have good things and bad things to them. this place gives out there money like water while the other(not say name) has...we....more games that no one ever plays and are very head. anyhoo, if it wasnt for(not going to say the name) i'd never find this site

Keith someone tried to recruit me to their petsite as an artist and I have no idea where to report it. It just happened today and I made a board in the help section asking where to report it. So its really convinient that this news came the same day.

Are we allowed to discuss things by mail with people we know there and here? I was over thee yesterday and people knew me from here and they were mentioning Subeta left and right but I tried to steer clear of mentioning anything by name as I don't wanna lose my account at either place. More scared there really because at least here you can talk to a real person.
