Subeautique: Spring Cleaning

You know what they say darling, Fashion is made to become unfashionable. So I've taken it upon myself to retire the bulk of our merchandise in the Subeautique.

I have a duty to keep fashion fresh, though, and so we've got three new designer lines for you to pick apart! Bow-E Plumeria, Merryday Tumbling and Giselle Never Say Neverland!

Also, a note, fashion lovers. I've noticed a pattern of designers elsewhere in Subeta encroaching on our amazing and standard-setting clothing, so I've raised the prices on all of our clothing and increased the rarity.

All the criticism! Wow!

I personally love them all, or at least parts of them all! Full sets are too hard to buy, so I like to try for parts that I REALLY love, or feel would be useful with many other avatars.

I'mma hate like veryone else now on something, gaaaahhh price and rarity change!!! Oh nooooeesss! =,O Whatever shall I do, when I struggle just to get the stuff that is always in the shop?!?!?! I'm doomed. Now it will be buying whatever i can see. =P But again, lovely work! =D

but i agree, sad to see things 'up' in price. Then again im a cheap-stake so i cna't say much. xD;

and even though i don't like the singer, I love the beiber-hair. The jacket looks really like his, even though its feels too rubbery to me. :3 lovelovelove! <3

I agree that the focus has seemed to be on CW and other CS items lately, but I don't really see where most of these new SubQ items look rushed/half-assed at all. A few of the smaller ones (the shoes and earrings from Merry) are very simple and look similar to other items on site, but I think MOST of these three new sets look very well-done.

And I guess I don't mind the few rushed things for these sets, if that's what they are, if that's what it took to get some change implemented in there. Three new sets is awesome...and if those artists have already started coming up with the next new lines then there should be plenty of time to make nicely drawn sets while we RS these and have a happy medium between rarity, price, resale, quality, and retirement times from now on. :)

I agree completely with , I have not bought one single CW, and I will not buy any in the future. Why? 500-600-700CSC for ONE item of clothing? Pfft...

I love the tique items and if this means now that they will end up in the same price brackets as these damn CWs, with increased rarity... well I give up.

Well, yea, hopefully the prices in user shops will even out now, that would definitely be nice. I could never RS in the SubQ before, I definitely won't be able to now, lol. Oh wells, I'll just wait. There were a couple that were pretty enough to make me go 'ooooh...' :)

But I dont see the price raise as a bad thing. 150k really isnt that much...and it was getting annoying with the old items. Id find it in Tique, then it was cheaper in the user shops. So I really never bought from Tique. Hopefully the raise will make it more usable :]

I get both of your points (Keith & Chibi) ... the 'Tique generally gets a bit deflated and the rarity increase will definitely help, however, it's been seemingly worse since CW items have came out.. because most fashionistas or.. fashionistos, are focusing on CWs as well... and things like this are falling as a second goal sort of thing. I'm too fucking poor for CWs, to be honest, so I'll stick to this and the CS Boutique as well as the sexy monthly wearables... i.e. points to HA. xD

As far as quality... I think it just came at a bad time because I've noticed quite a people that that aren't quite big on the new CS style, myself included (and some people love the new items too of course). There was rarely a Delish item I didn't want, and .. the new line to me just isn't as good. That's not to say that I agree that people are kind of half-assing it now.. it's just a lot of change, and different designers and some people aren't other people's taste.

Same goes with the 'Tique. Not a fan of the Beiber thing.. although I think whoever did that hair needs a raise.. because the shading on that is f'in epic. Not a fan of the Merry one, it's too anime for me but I want to hug whoever did the Bow-E line... it's so pretty, and I generally don't go for girly hearts and things... but it's just lovely.... I want to put it on and prance around. twirls

Also CRAP I say for me not freaking getting the old items when I knew a retirement was coming. I suck.

Keith- I was making a point that because thinggs have been done in such half-measures lately, including a nearly complete retirement of the 'tique to be restocked with new, pretty quickly drawn and not as good stuff, and all the focus HAS been on CWs. Nothing is really getting done. Not many new items, hearts haven't been put up in the profiles yet, and I'm wondering why. Is it something new, or just more half-measures. Its me worrying about the whole commercial thing again.

ChibiStraws - What? The idea here is that these are supposed to be the most expensive and hard to get clothing items on the site. 50,000sP is almost nothing (for the average user) and the rarities were way skewed for how we originally anticipated SBQ, which were low rarity but expensive items. We've since changed our focus on it.

This has nothing to do with CWs.

Things are really being done in half-measures lately around the site. "Oh, CWs are out, we can just let the whole site revolve around THAT, it'll make everyone who buys csc happy and that's all that matters, right?"

They didn't literally make them more expensive because of CW's, it's just a joke. They made them more expensive because Subeatique stuff was so deflated :P Keith mentioned it on a few boards, and honestly I thought they were referring to the Delish/Vi designers in the Cash Shop, not the CW makers...

I'm really enjoying these retirements and price alterations lately; I truly appreciate the care Subeta takes to keep its economy stable, even if it means some of the changes may not be entirely favored.

I am also so proud of the artists of the Custom Clothing items that have been spicing up wardrobes these past few months - even if it leaves our dear Subeautique genius feeling a bit threatened. ;D

And I always love new clothing releases! Especially the clever names attached to them. ❤️
