I'm sorry to say that you're both in the minority of posters here that don't like the new Swampie revamp. Most of Subeta adores it from what I'm getting of all the posts here. The swampie's a huge improvement. I'm sorry you don't see it as such

oh, i totally agree with wiseoldwoman! i loved my old swampie with the beautiful loving face. i do not like the new reborn one at all, with a very flat and angry face. seriously, it was beautiful before. i have changed my swampie today to a scribble legeica. i was going to make a new pet that with a loyalty totem i had, but i could not wait to make my pet happy again. what a shock the new one was.

for those that like the new one, great! but for those that don't, what a loss!

Omg...the new swampie is fantastic. The old one doesn't even begin to compare. It didn't even look like part of subeta. The old one looked like a neopet. Not that that's a bad thing, it just didn't fit.

I agree with some others that the fiery hair is a bit off. =/

Now that I've seen the old and new Swampies, I must admit that the new Swampie is BAAAAAD ASSSSS!!! :D The old Reborn Swampie looked like a My Little Pony but had a snake-like body instead of legs and hooves. It looked way too cute and not like a Reborn's supposed to look like. The new Swampie, OMG! I just can't begin! It looks like a Swampie's SUPPOSED to look like, not like a My Little Pony. WELL DONE ARTIST on both the revamp and the new pet! :D Phenominal! :D I wish I had your kind of talent! :D KUDOS! :D

The new swampie is honestly pretty damn amazing and I find it almost offensive to hear it being criticized for everything that makes it stellar in this new revamp.

And I find it odd that the neck has deeper shading when the tail is what is farther away. It should be darker, especially in the bend.

I, for one, ADORE the revamp. And the Illumis is really nice, too!

But for those that don't like the revamp, it's okay. Just use the old one as an overlay, and there! It may be a little irritating, but if you really like it that much, it won't be too much of a bother. :)

But anyway. I might try for that Illumis soon! :o Gorgeous!

The Illumis looks amazing, and I guess the art for the Swampie is nice and all but it completely changes the, I don't know, tone that it used to have. The old reborn Swampie was sort of feminine and sly, you know? I miss the necklace and its facial expression. It doesn't work for my (soon to be former) reborn Swampie pet at all, so I'm disappointed.

Also, the hair made of fire bugs me.

THESE (and the cybill lol) ARE EXACTLY THE PETS I'D BEEN PRAYING FOR AND DEAR GOD THEY ARE PERFECT IN EVERY WAY especially the illumis oh my god you guys YOU GUYS!!!

omg I am so happy because these are two of my favorite species (although I don't own a swampie yet... WHY DO PET SLOTS HAVE TO BE LIMITED /cry) and they are so unloved but OH MY GOD these are gorgeous mcgorgeous on top of gorgeous gorgeous what am I even saying wow

Okay so the swampie!! Is a massive improvement, dear lord. It looks perfectly swampie-ish and good anatomy'd and no longer has that random necklace that I'd always wondered about. The fire is gorgeous and although I am not a big fan of the spots on the side they look great on its fins, sort of like embers? The angry expression is really good and the spikes are lovely andI adore how they're all ON FIRE and yea also the coloring is reallyWOW YES I enjoy it. shading fire is really hard but this is quite good and the swampie is very sleek which I like!!

also I like the pose itis a good pose and THE ANGRY LOOK IS GREAT AND THE EYE IS REALLY GORGEOUS WOW OK BASICALLY EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS GREAT

The illumis HSUJDSGFUASFIASF; WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN... OKAY so the pose is incredibly badass wOw look at that badass fucking mothfireflybutterfly thing LOOK AT IT LOOK INTO ITS ANGRY EYES AND WEEP the antennae holy shit they are so sinister somehow and wHoA look at that shading guys seriously the SHADING ON JUST THE ANTENNAE JUST MAKES ME WANT TO CRY WOW HOW CAN I EVEN HANDLE THIS... I love the way the legs are positioned, it's really badass and sinister and just REALLY WELL-DONE OKAY WOW drawing this would probably make me want to stab myself. Overall the shading is really wonderfantastical and basically RLY GOOD, the colors are phenomenal and I really like how it's kind of purpley??? The face is terrifying in the BEST OF WAYS and the shadings give it so much definition and fhshgdsfsgf; the illumis's... light thing (what do you even call it) (I don't want to say butt....) is really well-shaded and I am just really yay over the way Pie chose to texture it?? It looks really eye-catching!!

AND OF COURSE THE BADASS FIRE WINGS CAN EVERYONE JUST STOP FOR A MINUTE TO "HOLY SHIT" AND JUST ADMIRE HOW HOLY WOW AMAZING THESE WINGS ARE PLEASE because seriously oh wow I really love the way these wings were done. oh mannn the shading is just GORGEOUS and I love how it's like... it doesn't quite look like pure fire, it has a sort of an insect/wingy feel???

WOW YEAH OKAY I'LL STOP FLAILING but yeah...

I really want both of these even though I have a stupid mental rule against owning more than two pets of the same color. OH THE TEMPTATION ohhh

While I respect your opinion 100%, FRET NOT. Use an overlay! You will only see the image you want to see on your the profile of your pet and so will everyone else.

Oh that swampie really needed the revamp - but that illumis! I had to make Pain engine into one so I could mess about with an overlay idea. So pretty! I think the wings look kinda like ice? If they were blue of course xD

Although the original reborn swampie was kind of adorable in it's own right - but an overlay would fix that if anyone wanted I guess n__n

I absolutely detest the new reborn swampie. I actually HAVE one, and most of the ppl who said how much they liked this revamp don't, but then again, that's probably why (they didn't like it before, I suppose). I feel as if my pet has just been killed. She was so beautiful and elegant, and of course what I'm about to say does not apply to a reborn swampie in general, but my swampie's name is Oracle of Secrets, and I found her (with that great name, of course) in the pound and she was a common swampie that I thought was very ugly, but I loved her name. I knew I could turn her into something else. I spent quite a bit of time looking into other types of swampies and even considered changing her species. However, when I came across the reborn I was so jazzed.

Now she's totally ruined. The new one lacks detail, the face is very ugly, it looks flat. What I mean to say is that the entire design of this pet looks flat. The original was elegant and the pendant truly fit the overall appeal AND the appearance of this pet. The snarl is just plain ugly, unoriginal, unnecessary and gives this pet a sort of "sheep" appearance, in that, now it looks like so many of the other pets in subeta who are vicious, dark, snarling, mean, scary, etc. I realize that there are some pets who smile or look benevolent, but many do not. Consider also, that the swampie is a creature of the water. Water is associated with flow and beauty, it is very spiritual, and astrologically Cancer (which is characterized by home, stability, etc,) is a water sign.... This pet was so beautiful and had so much of what we Cancer's love....oddly enough, many Cancer's are drawn to fire, as it balances the water. (My husband is a Leo, and according to some things I've read, the Leo man and Cancer woman is a match made in heaven...WE are ❤). I realize I'm totally off subject here, please forgive me, I'm distracted and dismayed, and this just happened to be very bad timing as we just moved and I'm exhausted with everything.

So the fiery water swampie with her benevolent smile and gorgeous eyes was perfect. Of course, everything said in this comment is my opinion, and ONLY my opinion. I'm a child of the 60's. I've lived through a world that has changed so much..... way TOO much, I grew up in a much simpler and gentler world. I'm quite tired of change...oh well.

Nice revamp! The Swampie doesn't looks so pathetic now! xD (personality-wise, not art-wise, so no offense to the original artist!!) And that Illumis... WOAH! That's badassery at it's finest!!! Lovin' the face, and the wings of flame!!! Excellent job!

So in all honesty, I really do love the Swampie revamp. The random necklace was just, ugh, so annoying. Though, I DID enjoy the originals markings and it's 'fins'. XD Do love it's 'angry' fact though.

And good golly gumdrops, that Illumis. If I actually had an Illumis, I would so consider that one.
