Quetzal, Thank you SO much! I got it right! But before today, there was no way I would have known how to get the answer! So, I actually learned something new today! (Yes, you CAN teach an old dog. . .) :) It is always a good day to learn something new!

I know it's all triangles, but people think that the .5BH is how to start off. It's not. You'll have to do other things to the triangle, such as split it into pieces to do it.

But there's another formula out there that makes this a piece of cake!

hmm, being in calculus and all, I still didnt get it... I wonder what I did wrong...

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Wow, something from Geometry last year was actually useful!

yeah what manyasone said.
i got it. yay.

::nod:: The base/height formula IS all triangles. Since this isn't a right triangle, though, we aren't given the height straight out... and there are other formulas which don't use height that are a little easier for ones like this. Anyway, with the help of my handy-dandy TI-83 Plus graphing calculator, I was able to figure this one out. ^_^

Humorously, I seem to be doing better with the harder trivias... I flubbed the corn one the other day through overcomplication because I thought it couldn't possibly be that simple.

Excellent question, Quetzal. Took me ages, but I managed to work it out. :D hugs plushie

I'm surprised I got it right. XD

Ugh. I'll have to phone my sister in Belgium again >.<

LoL. I did algebra rounding instead of geometry rounding. Its my own fault.

Aww, BattleAngel, I'm sorry. I'm assuming that that's why lots are getting it wrong due to round-offs. This is partially a trick question- but only when it comes to rounding off.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

dohhhhh. accidently rounded down the answer instead of rounding up. =(

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Wow, I actually had to e-mail my maths teacher. pokes plushie The things I would do for you... ;_;
