Subeautique: Argo Agent Orange + Retirements

Turn up the heat with this new Subeautique line from designer Argo titled Agent Orange.

Sadly though Sougara\'s Whiteout, Lililace\'s DeKonstrukted, and Argo\'s Blackout have all been retired from the Subeautique.

Ooh, lovely items. And that shade of orange is gorgeous~ But then again, orange is my favorite color, so I may be slightly biased. :3

These clothes are gorgeous. I love bright sets and often struggle to find enough good orange items in certain wardrobe layers. Some interesting pieces to work with. Nice job all around.

As for the retirements, I finished my Blackout and Dekonstrukted sets recently so that's a relief!

lol agent orange was a herbicide used in places other than vietnam. the cancers were an unfortunate side-effect.

agent orange was mainly use as a defoliant in the jungles. agent blue was the one that was used to destroy crops that were allegedly used to feed guerrillas.

get learned.

i like the clothing, but as other people said, i find i quite strange to call a clothing line after a weapon of mass destruction... something that killed a lot of people is not something to make fun of in my opinion..

Nicely drawn items, but...

Growing up during the Vietnam War, with family members in the military and hearing the horror stories, I have to say I wish a different name had been chosen. This one has very negative connotations for me and detracts from the cute clothes. :(

agent orange makes me think of a james bond film. like a bond girl. as does this fashion line.

Don't really like the color orange, but guess they would be good if you want to stand out in a construction zone. Only saying that because there's a lot of road construction by my house & the workers are all wearing orange. I do like some of the styles though.

IMO there are lots of items on subeta that can offend people. Decapitated puppies anyone? Gummy fetuses? However, I'm almost sure that the artist who did these did not intend for the name to be offensive. "Agent Orange" by itself sounds like an interesting name, and it's also a band, a drink, a film. The name of this line could be a reference to one of those instead.

I am not miss-informed and I don't think the name needs a change. But I thought annoying orange was a brilliant name suggestion. HEY APPLE!

Oops >.< Posted a blank comment by accident. ._.

Um.. I have to say, I love the artwork and I thought the name was pretty cool.. Until I found out what it really was. Now I'm just mildly disgusted. I hope whoever named this was just unaware - and thought it was a cool name and looked good (like I did at first).

However, the artwork and use of the different shades of orange is just fantastic. Orange is my favorite color, and I couldn't be happier to see this new line. Well done. :)

Agent Orange...the name made me giggle. Until everyone made such a big stir that I wikipedia'd it.

Maybe they didn't mean that? I was thinking like, a spy or something. ._.

Makes me think of the band, who named themselves such because of what happened in the war. But regardless, I don't think it should be changed. -shrugs-

It's surely a bad name choice regardless of how beautiful the clothing is.

Name aside, some of the pieces here are lovely and I love the colour choice for the latest monochromatic line.

I hope that name choice was due to a lack of education and not on purpose. The clothes themselves are beautiful, however.

Seeing as how "Agent Orange" killed and maimed hundred of thousands of individuals during the Vietnam War, and caused so many birth defects (many people still dealing with this today even), it really was an insensitive choice to name such a nice looking clothing line. :C
