About time, this will be incredibly helpful as Subeta is not the most user friendly game to get into. I do like the idea that you need to complete the action before doing it as it walks the new user through the motions; however, I do feel that if they already had one (Like a newer user that got a pet and couldn't figure out anything else and left the account) there should be something that can detect it and move on.
It's a lovely idea, but it seems like the tutorial needs its own tutorial at this point. :P
If the tutorial knows whether you've adopted a pet or not, maybe the "I'm finished, next step" link could not show up until you've done so? Or, if you try to click it, you actually get a message that tells you what is happening.
If seasoned users are getting confused.. will an actual newbie fare any better?
But I love the idea of this existing. I feel like I did something like this when I joined. I lost almost all of my sP because I thought I had to buy clothing from the Clothing Rack (it told me to!). :P
I get 'I am done! Next step!' and click it, but it doesn't work. :c
Why do you have to adopt a pet to continue? As a new player that might not be what I immediately want (and it should be more clear that this is what you want me to do before you let me continue).

Blah, whenever my friends join the get bored and then leave. BC MAYBE this is'll make em' stay. I've had some re-join...but still leave. And then I have a friends who's obsessed with a certain pet who's-name-I-will-not-mention and refuses to leave it. I know she'd like Subeta but noooooo.

It is hard to get my friends to join Subeta, and the referrals I do have, they mostly just joined to be nice. Maybe this will make things easier!
This tutorial would be a lot more useful for new users and interesting for older users if you could make it past the first step without actually adopting a pet. What about a new user who's been around a week or a couple of months, created a pet or two and is happy with that number for now, but still wants a tour of the site? It doesn't make sense to set that limit on the very first page.
YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY ADOPT A PET TO GET PAST THE FIRST PAGE. Please read the other comments before you post. ;)

It would be great if this could continue with out adopting a pet as my friend joined last week and shes from the UK and she is lost. I can only tutor her on the weekends when we can possibly be on at the same time due to time zone difference but she has already adopted her. It would be great if she could follow the tutorial with adopting another one. The she wouldn't have to wait for me :)
New users are automatically given an event about the tutorial. :)

Yes! Me too. I remember when spent hours lurking the forums to figure out what other players were doing to make sP, what things did, where things were and still struggled to figure it all out. I hope this takes some of the confusion out of things for newer players and encourages them to stay a little longer.

Agreeance that this would be handier if it knew whether you already had a pet or not. One of the first things I did when I got here was create a pet, but then I was pretty much lost. It would have been frustrating to have to create another pet just for the sake of going through the tutorial :)
