Okay, got it, fiddled around with options and settings to get all my personal keys and settings again and except one Add-on everything seems to work fine. I can't say my browsing speed increased, though. Maybe it's because I take enough precautions to avoid cluttering my browsing history and stuff, I really wish I could see what people are talking about "increaed browsing speed". XD

Ah man, I only updated to FF4 in the office last week. Looks like I'll be kicking everyone off their computers again tomorrow D:

Hmm I started using Chrome but I preferred the features on FF so I went back but Chrome was definitely faster, albeit more buggy, that was a while ago though. Luckily I haven't had any problems with FireFox since v2.

Thanks for the heads up. I must be the only person who never had a problem with 4. I'm looking forward to 5!

Meh, I use FF for quests (better then chrome for questing at least) but I have more then 1 browser on my pc. I had no problems with 4 and don't seem to be having any problems with 5. To be honest, I'm leery about chrome, it was giving me problems for a while and kept crashing and/or dieing.

Yeeeah, I'd always rather wait a while to install updates till after they work the bugs out and make all my add-ons compatible. But I will.

I've been using version 5 since early this morning with no problems. It seems that the glitches of version 4 are all fixed. So far, I have not notice any issues and my browsing speed has really increased. I'm still testing the browser out, but I would say that it would be safe to download, and it really is a serious improvement to version 4. Also, don't be afraid of the interface changing much if you do use version 4. Its almost identical. However, you can now pin items to the tab area for quick access. Its very convenient. Also, the Google Toolbar (and probably others) are no longer compatible, but the new browser includes a search bar with five different search bars to choose from, as well as the ability to block trackers. Simply add Adblock Plus and your browser will be very secure. Yes, I'm a geek, but I'm also a Network Administrator and I fully support Firefox. :)

Huzzah! Though I didn't have any problems with 4, so I don't see why people are complaining. I'll download 5 later. Thanks for letting us know!

I also don't see what's so great about Chrome. Not as good as FF, in my opinion.

After years of using it, it finally failed me. Too many crashes and it would freeze my laptop so I'd have to restart my computer so I can use the Internet but I learned of Chrome<3 And I'm never going back! 8D

If they're going to be doing updates every few weeks now, I wish they'd do an auto-update-in-the-background thing like chrome.

Thanks for the info! I had no problems updating, but I'm not really seeing much of a difference from 4, so maybe I did something wrong. :x

It's not the I don't like Firefox, I've used it for years and still do, it's just the version 4 was a giant pile of crap with all the bugs it had when it first released. I updated to 4 as soon as Keith mentioned it, but considering what happened last time, I'm a little paranoid about updating again so soon.

Had no issues with 4 myself, but if you have addons you will obviously have issues untill those are updated...its to be expected. :P

That was fast. I think I'll wait to update, though. Most of my add-ons aren't compatible with it yet - including the ones from my anti-virus - and I'm not willing to do without them.

I love firefox (not loving the 4.0 though). I have no problem upgrading and I didn't need to uninstall anything. Unfortunately my tool bar is not compatible with.

I had no issues with Firefox 4, so I don't really see why people are complaining.

If it doesn't apply to you or you don't like Firefox, big whoop. Don't complain because the staff here care about those who use and like Firefox along with other browsers.

Just updated to Firefox 5 and I had no issues with it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Keith~

Yeah... I had the same issue Deviant did with 4.0, so I'm not so sure about updating again. I couldn't even watch bloody youtube or play my flipping games without having to constantly move my cursor around.

PS: IE sucks. People that use IE should be ashamed of themselves.

I personally wasn't too impressed with FF 4.0 so I wound up switching to Chrome when FF wouldn't let me downgrade to the previous version. I doubt I'll be using 5.0 as I'm pretty happy with Chrome, but it's nice that you guys give us a heads up about browser upgrades so we can all keep up to date with stuff and keep ourselves more secure on the interwebs :)
