Is possible to change costume you submitted for the contest????

If people submitted as a hex, they appear as a hex ^^ I don't think it was meant to be that was, but that's how it is.

I'm a little annoyed. I just had no choice at all on my vote... i.e. one of the avatars didn't show up. So the one I had to vote for I never would have voted for in a million years :c

Hey, I was just wondering:

I went to vote and there were the usual two choices, but one was a hex. A friend of mine had this same issue. We were wondering if the hexes were affecting the picture we viewed or if those people had just submitted their avatars when they were hexed and therefor that was the picture that was showing up.

Good for the voters! But bad for my entry. haha. It's a simple one.

Haha, I didn't do a generic scary costume, I actually dressed my HA up as something, but without the reference image I feel like I won't get many votes... XD XD oh well! Still fun to see the costumes!

Yay! I'm already looking forward to seeing the winners! Plus I've also taken a solemn vow not to vote for any Disney characters this time around.

I'm glad the number of choices has been reduced, but I think four or six would work better than two. On the first round I got two near-identical pumpkin-themed witches and picking between them was like flipping a coin. Though I guess the upshot of having fewer HAs to pick from will be that the total votes for each costume are going to be closer to the average number of votes?

I am only getting one choice as well. It was like that almost 7 hours ago before I went to bed. I was hoping the choice(s) would be refreshed by this morning but it is the same: 1 choice, same user. I won't vote this way!

Wasn't given enough time to make a costume this time round, unfortunately. But I do like the new voting methods... However, I don't understand the bloody wait time. Why can't we just keep voting?

Same for me. 1 choice is DEFINITELY not fair.

Thanks for the replies, I wasn't sure if maybe I had missed something.

20 mins is certainly better than 60, but of course no waiting would be even better! haha

If this was another cosplay contest I'd be all nitpicky about having a ref image, but since this is just a Halloween Costume Contest I don't see reference pics necessary for like... A ghost or something lol.

AKA I LIKE THIS NEW WAY OF VOTING. I do wish the time between voting was decreased, though 20 mins isn't awful.

Excellent voting set-up! Its a "morostide" costume contest, not specifically COSPLAY, so no need for reference photos IMO.

I really enjoy having just 2 choices, even if the 2 aren't so good. I agree completely with Coronaviridae.

Just wondering why so many people feel like they NEED a reference image to be voted for? A lot of Halloween costumes are just, in general, something like a witch or a scary creature. They don't have a particular REFERENCE, they just come from the imagination. That's what I did for my entry.

I like the two choice system, but wish voting was closer together, like 10 minutes instead of the 20.

Honestly, even if you get a pair of entries that are relatively weak, vote.

The genius of this particular kind of voting system is that those entries will be recycled against much stronger entries through subsequent rounds of voting, and will settle to the "level" appropriate to them. So even if you like neither of the entries you're presented with, close your eyes and click, or flip a coin. Take that vote for the team and keep the system working.

Are reference pics not showing up for a reason? I hope it gets fixed, my entry may be more recognizable to some if they see it.

I just got 2 choices with references. The reference images just show up next to the HA, no need to hover over.

Can we please have more choices? Or can they change after a certain amount of time? I just can't bring myself to vote for some of the ones I'm seeing. Lack of references/weak costumes bother me.

I guess the alerts are in need of some tweaking. I got my first alert 3 minutes early, my second alert was 5 minutes late, and my third alert won't clear after closing it on every page I've loaded for the last five minutes. xD

I don't think they get refreshed after 20 minutes. At least, my last two choices didn't seem to. Maybe the counter was off, but I waited a few minutes past the 20 minute mark, and still had the same choices up.

You know, I... disagreed with this attitude in the EpiCon contest when there were so many choices, but with only two options it really does become more realistic.

I'm just going to suck it up and pick one of these two, but if I get say, 2 hexes or 2 random non-halloween HAs? I do hope they're refreshed after 20mins.

Aww, that's nice that you've lowered the waiting time. = D

I didn't participate in EpiCon, so, if our own avatar shows up(idk if this is possible), are we allowed to vote for it or must we vote for the other one or can we just wait 20 minutes for new choices?
