It’s the little things.

To me it’s rarely the big things that change a life; it’s the small things. Those little moments the blessedly fortunate brush off like the dust of happenstance. The rest of us, we cling to these things. The fact that the bread was on sale today. The gift that the rain stopped allowing a dry walk from parking to destination. The smile on someone’s face so absently given, a habitual pleasantry, that oddly could remind a drifting soul they’re human. Briefly so breifly gone in a moment of thought. But seen for that heartbeat.
Please don’t brush off those little things with a dismissive sound today: cherish them.
