Information about Battle Pet Spotlight[/center]]

What is the Battle Pet Spotlight?

The Battle Pet Spotlight is a monthly award granted to the pet who has gained the most stats in the month in each class. There are two classes:

Gold: for pets Tiers 9-12 Silver: for pets Tiers 1-8

We decided on this division based on the number of pets training and where they fell on the scale to have a fairly even amount in each class.

In order to be eligible for the Battle Pet Spotlight you must meet these requirements:

:*: Join this thread (obviously heh)

:*:You must have two data points back to back in order for me to fairly calculate your gains. In other words, if you are just joining the thread, you must have posted your starting stats, and stats when I call in an update at the end of the month. Or if you are a returning trainer, you must have posted gains at the end of the month prior to the month of competition.

:*:You must post your gained stats by the end of the month you are competing in. Late gains will be marked as such and are ineligible to win.

:*:You cannot win back to back months, but you may win more than once. If for some reason the same person does technically have the highest gains two months in a row, the next highest gain will be awarded the spotlight for the second month. The only time this rule does not apply is if you graduate from Silver to Gold class.

Examples:

::Bob starts training Bobson in January. He posted his starting stats when he joined the thread as well as his gained stats when the forum group was pinged. Bob is eligible to win January and also February should he post his gains at the end of February. ::Jane starts training Janeita in January. She posted her starting stats when she joined the thread. Jane did not post her gained stats when the forum group was pinged by the end of day on the last day of January, so she cannot be eligible for January or February. If she posts her gained stats for February, she will however be eligible for March.
:*:Bob and Bobson win for January. He cannot win for February, but he could possibly win March.

If this needs clarified more please let me know and I will try to word this better. I'm really bad at explaining things sometimes.

If for any reason you do not want to compete and simply want to use the thread to keep track of your gains, let me know and I can mark you as such in the record book :)

What Do I Win?

Aside from envy and admiration from everyone for gaining the most stats, you will receive a custom trophy, graciously donated and drawn by ! You can use the trophy on your pet's profile, on your user profile or your signature or all three if you're feeling particularly proud of your accomplishment!
