Context: I'm an old Subeta user who has never played really much, I returned here recently, then disappeared for a few weeks, then returned again. After returning 1, I was doing daily quests on legacy Subeta almost every day. I have tried the new quests on Kumos just now for the first time. And I have a weird feeling.
While having fewer quests with more rewards is important for the busy schedules of modern people (for those with busy schedules at least), and the interface is more convenient overall, I feel disappointed with how it doesn't promote more exploration of the items and more interaction with them compared to the old site. It is too efficient, and reminds me of those empty dailies in gachas, which you can complete in 5 minutes, but which slowly drain the fun from the game and feel like chores. I understand that people interact with Subeta in multiple ways, but for me - it has always been about collecting interesting things, organizing my collections as pet inventories and such, and finding out more and more new and interesting stuff to put on my wishlist or buy immediately every day. And I have been doing this exploration part solely through dailies, and idk now...
Aside from this feeling of blank and unfulfilling chores-like dailies, I'd like to add that I really really need to be able to take things out of my wardrobe while questing, just like it is on legacy Subeta now. For example, I see Sag demanding an expensive item I dislike, and I happen to have it in my Wardrobe - I'd like to be able to check for this easily and take it out from the Wardrobe to avoid buying it. Another case: I see the NPC asking for a clothing item I like, and if I know for sure I don't have it yet, I'll buy two or add it to wishlist. I can guess it's technically impossible to implement those features rn bc our Wardrobes are not on Kumos yet; I just hope it can be done in the future.
The Subeta team is really cool and impressive for keeping and developing the site all these years. Pls don't take my little ranting personally, English is not my first language, I might sound too direct sometimes, sorry just in case.
P.S.: I was also shocked to come across an item that is not on sale at all while questing today, for the 1st time in my life for sure! Giving up a quest is easy ofc, but this added up to feeling unfulfilled, I guess.
