after serving me faithfully though high school, university and my first job, my beloved legend of zelda messenger bag has........ seen better decades LMAO it's literally falling apart god bless, so i'm in the market for a new one! :3c since this is something i want to use for a really long time i'm really picky!! which has made finding a new one quite the ordeal rip

for context it's got to be quite big and sturdy since i'll use it to carry my laptop + tablet (38 cm x 26 cm at least and heavier than it seems) and i'd love to have something with a fun design based on my interests!! which is the hardest part because the big and high quality messenger bags i keep finding are plain :c i bought this loz one at gamestop in like 2010 so getting an exact copy isn't feasible (and also i want something new lol)

does anyone have any online store suggestions to find something like this?? i'm cool with browsing etsy shops too, just kinda wary bc the platform's full of ai scams now rip. budget is also not an issue (within reason...) because this is something i don't plan on replacing hopefully ever. there was one online store i saw years ago i really liked that had a bunch of anime and gaming themed bags but i can't remember the name, i think it had robot in it and that's it ;;

absolutely no amazon fuck amazon i'm not buying from there. also no aliexpress/temu/shein because idm spending a little extra for something that won't fall apart within the week haha

So, no store suggestions (sorry! ;w; ), but just a thought from someone who once had the same dilemma. If having a fun design is your only hangup with the big, sturdy bags you've found so far, you might consider checking out patches to add to them! I ended up doing that with my, frankly ancient, messenger bag that I still have from my school days. Everything that had cool designs was poorly made and not worth investing in, so I just loaded up on cool patches to sew onto a plain bag in the end. The iron-on sort should work perfectly well, too, so long as the bag doesn't have, like, plastic lining or something, if you'd prefer not risking a blood sacrifice from needle and thread.

oo i hadn't considered that at all!! i have no sewing knowledge at all and don't even own an iron tho haha ;; but def something i'll keep in mind! looking through reddit i've found quite a few stores that sell high quality, sturdy canvas bags that would take patches well i think
