Since there's no B&C forum anymore and wee, I have a lot of pet spotlight wins.
Agincourt Barrie BC Bedtime Bogdan Bronte Byzantium Cassatt Charming Chui Constable Courante Cuneiform Ensui Etruscan Finbarr Geppetto Imbued Katran Kui Nascent Nein Octantis Roccoco Waterhouse Xian
Imbued counts as number 26 in pets won in spotlight, probably going to try to get to a round 30. Some of them are super old spotlight wins and their profiles need to be re-done. I also own some pets that were adopted having already won spotlight in the past and those won't get spotlight. Same for some of my human only pets like Anastasiy which I decided to take off spotlight permanently when the quad-pet requirement was put in place since they're human only character pets. They're listed in alphabetical order on my user profile, I just add it on to the original list of all the spotlight pets I have.
Wow, congratulations on 25 wins! I haven't even finished 25 pets yet lol.
Thank You! I have a lot of pets, and I've been slowly working on the existing pets I do have over time. With the super old spotlight wins from when spotlight first started, a couple of them have since borked their profiles and I never got around to re-making them.
I also created most of my pets as stand-alone stories, with the exception of Nascent and Nein which are supposed to be opposing gods( creation/destruction). And of course, the ones that are historical pets are just because I like history and it's what my BA/MA were. Byzantium and Agincourt are both history pets.
Most of mine were standalone stories too until lately. It's so much more daunting trying to do group stuff, I'm not sure I'm going to pull it off. I mean I'm slow enough as is with my stand alone pets haha.
I counted and I have 20 completed pets - some spotlight winners and the rest nominated. That's out of like 105 bahaha.
, I definitely find it easier to write stand-alone stories because group stuff means world-building and things like that, which I'm not sure I'm sure the best at.
I have 78 pets currently, but I haven't used up all the extra pet slots; I also consciously made a decision when unique names were done away with to keep to legacy names only as a stop-gap for myself and a way to work on my existing pets instead of constantly adopting new pets. Doesn't mean I won't have more pets in the future, but for now I'm content with the number I have.
Interesting. I have mostly done stand-alone stories/one-shots because I enjoy world building TOO much. World building + Character development. I just can't write or plot relationships to save my life. But been working on that while sandboxing a character quartet that go together (as well as a pairing in a separate plotline, although conceivably could be same world?)
Most of mine are one-shots though some of them are fandoms or they're fictional but based on real people. Also realized it's 26, not 25 since I forgot to add or deleted one when I edited the list.
Ensui is the sword spirit for the God of War, but the person I based the War god on was a real person in Chinese history.
Katran is a tar blob in the Brea Tar Pits, etc. Cuneiform is a code talker based on the WWI-WWII Native American Codetalkers.
Yeah, I'm a history nerd.
@ Historiography goals I have 9 wins, 2 pets no longer with me, out of 47 but 1 isn't allowed in the spotlight
