over the past few days my sidebar has been reset multiple times. the "new widgets are available!" message reappears at the top and i have to click "dismiss" again. the widgets are reset to the clock, user info, events, kumos updates, and notepad. i fix it to how i want it set up (user info, avatar, quick search, kumos updates, notepad). the next day, the message is back, and the widgets are reset again. i dismiss the message again, fix my widgets again. the next day, it's all messed up again. what's a girl to do?

additionally, the page to actually edit the sidebar is a bit buggy. i get one or two successful button presses before all buttons become unresponsive and i have to refresh the page to continue the process. for example:

1. i don't want the clock on my sidebar. i click the X to remove the clock. it is removed.
2. i also don't want the events on my sidebar (since there's already a standalone events tab). i click the X to remove the events widget. nothing happens.
3. i refresh the page and click the X to remove the events widget again. it is removed.
4. i want to add my avatar to my sidebar. i click the + to add it. it is added.
5. i want to change the position of the avatar widget. i click the ^ to move it up. nothing happens.
6. i refresh the page again and click the ^ again. it moves up once.
7. i click the ^ a second time. nothing happens.

and so on. you get the idea. quite a cumbersome process u_u

(also. because the buttons aren't static, you can't just uniformly move your cursor up or down the line to keep moving a widget up or down; you have to also move it to the side to get to where the button moves to in order to click it again. understandable why it works that way, but not ideal when i just want to click-click-click a widget into the correct position—or better yet, drag and drop.)

My side bar is completely gone as of an hour ago. Dunno what happened, but its making me feel naked on here lol

This is happening to me too, but also every time it resets, it also resets other settings, including how i want the pop-over to show up (I turned it to click because it gets in the way when questing).

just confirming that this has happened several more times since making this post, including just now.

I think Kumos is having trouble saving all its UI settings, I'm still having to update my popover selection to click every day.

I eventually found logging out and back in fixed it and I have not had the issue since

i don't know, it was continuing to happen over the past several weeks so i gave up trying to fix it so it's just been on the default "new widgets are available!" state for a while. trying to change it again so i'll let you know if it changes back in the next couple of days.

EDIT (7/26 @ 10 PM): it reset itself again -_-

Like Frenchi I had also given up resetting it since it takes multiple refreshes to configured (you have to refresh the page anytime you remove a widget or change the order). After your post, I did re-configure it to how I wanted it to be. This morning, it was back to having the "New Widgets!" and clock and everything else back at the default again. So yes, it is still happening.

Yeah every day when I use Kumos my popover switches back to hover. :/ I tried logging out and back in and it didn't change anything.

Sorry to drag this back up to the top - but this is my issue - my sidebar on Kumos keeps resetting the widgets. I keep having the shoutbox put on my sidebar, I do not use nor like the shoutbox and do not want to see it, but I keep having to go remove it - this has been happening for the past three-four days now. Also I put my HA on mysidebar, and it gets removed. Not as big an issue to me as the shoutbox, I can live w/o seeing my HA but thats what gets removed when the shoutbox gets put on my sidebar.

So glad to find this! I'm having the same annoying sidebar/widgets problem! I've mentioned it at 2 other places. Even as long as it sticks I have the "New widgets are available!" message.

Having a "Shoutbox" with random strangers posting non subeta stuff in my sidebar I find intrusive, and wouldn't know, what the Notpad should be good for, so I want them gone forever and have my avatar instead - even though this is a pet site, those aren't even a thing....

I'm not sure how it would be possible for this now, because it looks like Keith got rid of widgets on Kumos 🤷

I just wanted to bump this back to the top because it looks like many people hare still having issues with the sidebar resetting. I haven't changed my Kumos layout, but those who have have mentioned it resets too. I customized my sidebar and realized a couple days ago it had reverted back at some point to the original set up.
