maybe it's because we don't need external sites to save all our outfits anymore, but you'd think people would still enjoy sharing and interacting with each other's HAs. yet over the years, activity has gotten sparser and sparser, and it's a common occurrence now for outfits with only 2 or 1 or even 0 adores to end up in the top 5 simply because no one is getting more than that. is it just that the older userbase has been whittled down to the small handful who still use it, while newer users just don't know about the site? or do people know about it but don't want to use it anymore?

Style File still exists? Wow! I had totally forgotten about that place.
I don't even remember my old account name and password, or I'd go back for nostalgia's sake if nothing else. Since we started saving outfits here there wasn't much reason to use Style file anymore.

@ ChatLunatique things are definitely better than the days when we were limited to 3-5 saved HAs at a time and had to download the images ourselves (and write down item lists) if we wanted a record of them, but i still like SF for the chance to readily see and respond to what other people are making and sharing—as opposed to stalking down people's saved outfit pages, which can also contain WIPs and avatars not really meant to be shared, or combing through scattered forum threads.

it also serves as more than an archive, but also a place to show off the outfits i'm particularly proud of and hone my "skills" based on feedback and things i notice other people doing that i like. ngl, it feels nice to get attention and validation, even for something as silly as "being good at making dress-up doll avatars" lol. 😋 i guess the new outfit system on kumos will be intended to have more of a sense of sharing and reacting to HAs, but i guess we'll see how that shakes out.

I love StyleFile! It seemed to go through a period where it went down a lot but I was thrilled to see it back up, and try to upload every so often. It's a really interesting time capsule to see how Subeta fashion has changed, and I enjoy looking at what everyone comes up with. Off now to check out the newest styles :)
