How do I get rid of the lizard minions that keep snitching everything? I assume it might be connected to the secret boss that I can fight with, or maybe, from which I saw, trap them.

You need both locked in your inventory in order to get rid of the lizards and catch the (r99) item they run around with. Each one gives a small chance, both combined a bigger one.
