Marana with a tilde (I believe that's what it is called) over the n (which is it's own letter distinct from n) means a dense brush, tangle, or thicket in Spanish. It's also a Sanskrit word meaning death and used in medicinal alchemy to refer to the incineration of metals and minerals.

creeps back in Yo, Njeri is SUCH a good name and not to be greedy but she would totally be a killer addition to my WOM pet group / story. I have a love for names with meanings that can influence the character, and just like Marana this name speaks to me and gives me immediate ideas! I'd love to adopt her if you're open to it!
