I'm not sure if this is exactly the right heading for this topic, but I have a problem that essentially means I can't use the widget manager on the kumos sidebar because I then have no way to close it and no further access to the kumos site, or anything else on Subeta; the only ways I can get out of it end up being clicking on one of my other bookmarks on my browser bar or shutting down the Net.

The biggest problem is that it was either designed for huge PC screens or maybe for smartphones, not at all for laptop computer screens (long and narrow), and the top and bottom of the widget manager don't fit on my screen. I also can't scroll down or pull down anywhere to reach the 'close' button. When there were fewer things on the widget manager, I could still reach the 'close' button, but this time, when the auctions were added, the only way I could barely reach it was by putting the auctions option on my sidebar (which I kind of wasn't sure I wanted to do), but if any more are added, I won't be able to reach the 'close' button even then.

My brother, Meteorfall, uses the same computer, so has the same problem. Technically, this was already a problem on Legacy Subeta, but not in a way that blocked us out of accessing things--it only made for some minorly annoying extra scroll-downs. Now, it's actually preventing both of us from using a site feature which so far otherwise looks good as an improvement. I'd really like to see that fixed somehow so someone with a completely ordinary and older laptop with no special mouse and no extra buttons can still actually access things, even if that's just with a widget scroll-down access, or even a grab-and-pull that can be done with a laptop's version of a mouse button instead of a finger tap on a smartphone.

it shows up like that on my screen, too. the solution is to zoom out (ctrl+minus or cmd+minus) a few times, until the whole popup is visible on the screen and you can access all the options. once it's closed, you can press ctrl+0 or cmd+0 to return the screen to the regular zoom level.

although for the record, i believe you can also close the widget manager by pressing the escape key on your keyboard.

i think i shared a screenshot of this on one of the other layout feedback threads but i'll share it here again for reference:

that is the entirety of my browser window you're seeing. i can't scroll up or down. i have to zoom out the window to about 80% in order for the top and bottom of that doodad to be visible. for the record i use a 15.4-inch macbook with a screen resolution of 1440 x 900.

I'm also having the same problem on my Lenovo Thinkpad with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. Looks similar to 's screenshot. I have to zoom out to 67% to be able to see the whole box.

it still works exactly the same on my end. opens a modal box that extends off the top and bottom of the page. can't scroll the modal. can scroll the page, but that only moves the contents of the page in the background; the modal itself is completely static. need to zoom out to see the whole thing.

what is the current intended behavior? for the modal to be shorter? scrollable? both?

I'm able to close the box, but things still appear cut off at the top and bottom. For example, the words "Active Widgets" at the top of the box only show the bottom half of each letter.

: For the record, mine and Ruesa's screens are just like Frenchi's, maybe with a bit of up-or-down shuffling, and we're using a really old laptop that's a pre-open Windows that's like 20 years old, and is still working, even for some very advanced games (like Forge of Empires or Elvenar level of games!). When I next have time to come on (hopefully tomorrow), I'll have a look and let you know if this is still happening on our laptop, too.

but how is it supposed to fit on the whole screen if my browser window is shorter than the modal? how tall is the modal supposed to be? is it supposed to shrink down, or is it a static size? like i said, my screen is 900px tall, and the viewport of my browser window comes out to about 765px in height. it seems like that modal is much bigger than that, so i don't really understand how it's supposed to look the way it does in your screenshot on my computer screen.

@ Keith soo this is how it looks now for me:

the modal effect is constrained to the top portion of the screen, and while i can scroll down to see the bottom of the modal, i can't scroll up to see the top of it.
