Questions about how Subeautique works

could I ask someone to explain to me a little how subeautique works? I know there's a few sets that are in active rotation right now, and I know there's some retired items that I don't ever see stocked. my questions are,
- once a subeautique item is retired, is it retired for good and never stocked again?
- is there notice given before a set is retired or a set amount of time it's in rotation before it gets retired?
- I think I read subeautique restocks a minimum of every 30 minutes but what's the maximum? and I assume it's at a random minute each time
- I've gotten one retired sbq item each from major drills and Carl before, are they a rare reward from any quest giver or just certain ones?
- are there any other ways to get subeautique items I might not know about? thank you!!

Usually retired for good. However, we've had some set revamps in the past and the revamped sets have been brought back into rotation. I wouldn't count of them coming back but you never know if a set might get revamped.

No set time as far as I am aware. We're usually given a warning when a new set comes out that some of the older ones might get retired. It doesn't happen every time we get a new set but if we get a warning, it usually comes with a new set.

Retired ones come from Drills, currents one are a rare drop from Carl and Quentin! I've only gotten them from Quentin when they're the weekend quest though.

Retired items can be found in the Gift of Fashions Past chance machine, but this takes CSC. You might get a cheap one or a pretty price one.
