I went to personal---edit profile, and it brings me to the part where I can add sections, but my layout code isn't there. So then I went to dashboard- profile, and it has a spot where i can type stuff, but there's no layout code. I want to back up my current profile layout. I wasn't sure where to ask this.

You go to personal -> edit profile and you put the html in the section where you can type stuff into. So for my profile, it’s my “about me” section. Hope that helps

As Kevin said, you may have more than one blank section. One way to check is to go to your profile and select "edit profile", then carefully scan for the "edit" and "remove" icons that are at the top of the sections. The "edit" is the icon that looks like a pencil and piece of paper, "remove" is the red circle with the line in it. Anywhere you see one of those edit icons, click the edit and double check that you don't have code hiding there. It is odd because I thought any profile coding would show up on the dashboard page but maybe not?
