I have been trying to ping the Buying or Selling CWs group to my selling thread, but the ping will not go through and show up on my event dashboard or in my ping history. The last successful ping I received from anyone in the group is from Friday, December 13 prior to the forum squish.

On the other hand, I have been able to successfully ping my own CW forum group twice since the forum squish.

Just something odd to perhaps investigate.

By any chance had you pinged it before in your post? Usually when you need to ping a group again in the same post, you need to remove the old ping, save the post, then add the ping back in to get it to work. I think this is a safeguard to prevent people from accidentally pinging groups more than once.

🤔I'm experiencing this as well, I've tried removing it completely from my post then re-entering it, to no avail and no ping history since december 14th from it

Just to follow up, yes, I've completely removed the ping from the post, saved the post, then added the ping back in (several times). Still no luck.

Pings seem messed up since the forums started getting messed with. I'm definitely not getting pings I should be. has this problem, the ping numbergame giveaway group never went out after they posted it

Seems to still be happening? My pings do not go through and I have not received any pings lately from the advertising side.

I am also having a problem receiving pings, the usual even, like group alerts, CW groups, when it was the token shop restock no alerts either...

Well, at least I see that others have the same problem as I do...

just popping in to add that a) i'm also still having this issue and b) that it does seem to specifically be impacting existing threads that were moved into a new forum when the squish occurred (so anything moved from r200 advertising to advertising can't ping buysellcw, but if your cw shop thread stayed in custom clothing your group ping will still work). it doesn't impact new threads made in the new merged subforums by the looks of it, which i guess makes sense.

just think it'd be good to know if this is going to be fixed or if it's something that's not fixable and we just need to make new threads? i don't really like the new advertising subforum being a total mess now as it is, but it's especially not ideal when a primary function like forum group pinging is compromised because of it. plus you're not meant to make duplicate threads i think(??) so i don't particularly want to make a new thread since my original cw b/s/t thread isn't that old. though i guess it's about 40 pages back in the new subforum now 🙃

It seemed like this had been figured out because I've been getting buysellcw pings lately from people that made new threads and were then able to ping the group. But, I made a new thread today and my ping isn't working despite it being a newly created thread. I even removed the ping, waited over an hour, and then edited the post adding the ping back in. Still nothing...

Tried to ping buysellcw yesterday (on a new thread I had made after the forum squish and successfully pinged once before) and it didn't work :c
