Phew! I thought the forums were broken for a moment.

Forum search will be huge, and the live chat function sounds like it could be a lot of fun also thank you for the use of geocities era UNDER CONSTRUCTION graphics

seems a little confusing that in addition to the merging of forum categories, individual threads are now trying to be merged with other threads even though they weren't originally created to serve the same functions as each other...?

also it seems like the entire bragging and complaining forum is just gone? The BHH restocks thread seems entirely missing and I don't even know which section a new one would/should go into (general? I guess?)

merging the entire advertising forum together seems backwards as well. I understand they don't exactly move fast but it's a huge extra hurdle IMO to have to look through CW buying/selling, regular buying, regular selling, and giveaway threads all mixed together

one potential thought about merging categories a bit more is that Custom Clothing, Art & Creativity, and Profiles & Graphics would all fit in a broader category that's both creative and has to do with commerce. not sure exactly what I'd call it, but all three require creative skill and can be bought/sold on here.

..actually speaking of those headings, I don't think the difference between "Subeta" and "Subeta Features" is very intuitive. I think it would make most sense to call the latter something to do with community? that alone could make the first one make more sense as is, or it could use a word like "site"

oof, the entire forums got nuked. hope they're all just hidden and not actually gone, and this transition goes smoothly. 😭

Everything is still here! It's just been consolidated or moved around a bit. There's some new organization happening too. Hang in there! It sounds like the vision for the final product is that the forums are easier to navigate (less subforums, especially less ones that overlap or are unclear), non-daunting for new folks, and still organized well enough for everyone to be able to find what they're looking for within a few clicks. There's also a search feature that has returned (it may only be on Kumos though?) and there's some additional forum page boxes over on Kumos that help with navigation. :D At least for me, the chaos of the squish actually ended up encouraging me to check out some boards I didn't visit before. So I can see in application exactly how some of these consolidations will foster more interaction! Some of the boards are still making my head hurt until the organization tools are ready (here's looking at you advertisement forum) but after a few days of poking around it does start to make a lot of sense why this is happening!

Agree c: I know there's some new organization systems in the works and I'm super excited to see what it all shapes up to look like! The forums do seem more "streamlined" for the most part, and I know I've already adjusted regarding where to look for certain things! Thinking about them from a old user and new user standpoint, my brain kinda lumps things like this ...

I feel like this is such a disservice to all users new and old + a misplacement of Keith/staff's time and resources.

I don't think the forum was messy before this change but I understand that's a personal opinion - I just don't understand why going to such extremes of merging together forums that had very distinctive and different topics, not to mention how hard it is to find things now.

I try to be as active as possible in the forums in order to gain the sweet sweet stars but now I have stopped posting as much because I simply can't find anything! And it's not a matter of getting used to the change either, things are just clustered and overflowing. ;/ I'm also discouraged to start any new threads myself.

the general and pets forums are just gone now, not even consolidated, just gone. the only stuff left is announcements, art, bugs, suggestions, and luminare

maybe if the forums actually workedon kumos mobile (or if there was even a LINK to kumos anywhere) maybe I wouldn't be as annoyed, but they've very clearly been nuked and I cannot access any of the threads but this one basically

Are you on legacy or kumos? I'm on the regular computer, not mobile and on the legacy site and all the forums are still present for me. General is still the first option listed under the "Subeta Features" header. Pets (along with Welcomes, Battle, and Human Avatars) have been moved into General as subforums.

Where did achievements help go to? (Ex: Wanting to post if anyone has the last item I need for an achievement to borrow)

Do I just put it under the Help & Questions forum as a whole now?

They're under General now :) The Forum Search feature is live again, but I think it may only be active on Kumos?
