So I have a few battle pets. I need help with spell scrolls and really can't seem to find a good how to and what to use guide. Currently I have a to with 21 ap, a to with 39 ap, and a to with 55ap. All the scrolls I currently own are: Pyre Raging Hurricane Singed Stuffing Minor Tremor Poisonous Barrage

Many of the better scrolls are from defeating challengers rather than made at the Secluded Shrine. Generally you want to select one infinite use scroll, then fill up the rest of your AP with once per battle scrolls of your choosing.

Some of the better infinite use scrolls are Feather Explosion, Ocean Currents, and Aftershocks. I always recommend that everyone buy a Feather Explosion Scroll because it is so cheap and also blocks physical, which is one of the most prevalent elements used in battling. Ocean Currents and Aftershocks are nice too, but more pricey.

For once per battle scrolls, there are a lot of options. Morosbane is very cheap and does a nice amount of attack with some healing. Shriek of Despair is one of the cheaper strong freezing scrolls. Cobalt Eternal, Sancturia Exodin, and Fatal Fire are really good for blocking. There are also even more powerful scrolls you can earn once your pet is stronger like Gift of the Forj and The Void. Overall, this one can really come down to personal preference.

If you want a cheap set that you don’t have to worry about too much, I’d go with Feather Explosion Scroll + however many Morosbane Scrolls you can fit. That’s the set I use with my smaller pets.

And I almost forgot to mention that there are some cool scrolls you can earn from defeating challengers a certain number of times: tattered scroll combos. Lights of Sprites and Protector of the Rich are nice infinite use scrolls you can earn that way, and Cold Blast, Emerging Rifts, and Burnt and Soggy Muffins are the better once per battle scrolls from that list.

Lights of sprites is a good infinite use scroll to use when you have very limited AP and lower tier pets (T6 or below). You can win one by beating eclipse, willowisp and psr 200 times. It will take a while, but they are all easy challengers. Continue to read more books so you could equip better constant scrolls like ocean currents and aftershocks. Cobalt eternal and sancturia exodin are good blocking scrolls to use that cost very little AP so you can equip multiple with lights of sprites. Once you gain more AP, you can consider better blocking scrolls like spacial abyss and gift of the forj.

I personally wouldn't bother with freezing scrolls until you can equip at least a handful of them in addition to your infinite use scroll. Reasons being:

1. The freeze rate on all freezing scrolls was dropped so your scrolls won't activate 100% of the time.
2. You can use blocking scrolls against any opponent that doesn't have scrolls disabled. There are a lot more opponents where freezing is disabled or disabled after the first turn.
3. Freezing scrolls no longer provide block. If you attempt to freeze and fail, it could leave you open to more enemy damage
4. One turn to do damage against your opponent while they are frozen does not make a difference in long battles.
