i've accumulated a lot of pets over the years, many of which i had grandiose ideas for... but never ended up really working on them, and eventually lost inspiration. so i figure it's time to start downsizing and let some of my pets move on to owners who will actually do something with them!

if you're interested in any of these guys, just lmk. if you have specific ideas for what you'd do with them, i'd love to hear it.

I had to look up what "pleonastic" means, and I love it! Describes me perfectly 😂

However, I'm actually interested in Grounded! The name immediately made me think of a balloon that can't fly, so they would be one of my balloon OCs. (They're all grouped together on my profile if you want to see examples of my pet profiles. All have profiles coded except for Popped, and most of them are complete and have won the spotlight.)

Grounded would be based on the L-8 "ghost blimp", which was a Navy airship in WW2 that crashed after its crew reported a mysterious oil slick, then vanished! It's now on display in a museum, and I got to see it last year :D

L-8 got put back into service and then was used by Goodyear after the war before being put in the museum. I'm not sure yet if the name Grounded would refer to L-8's crash or to its eventual retirement, but either way, their profile would be from the POV of L-8 telling their story. I might tie the crew's disappearance into my dream world mythos by making the "oil slick" be something supernatural/Lovecraftian lol, and maybe Grounded tried to or did save them by taking them to the Dreamlands before Grounded returned to the real world. Grounded would probably also be friends with

Edit: I forgot to mention what species they might be! I'm not certain, but I like the darkmatter Bumbus if I do go with the plot of Grounded fighting to save the crew, since it looks like it's fighting the Dark Matters. Otherwise Grounded would probably be a Blob who's looking up like it's stuck on the ground, like the nostalgic, but I'm leaning towards the Bumbus.

omg i adore rococo's name! i would love to do a pet themed on the romanticized rococo aesthetic, with all the ideas of artifice, glamour, grandeur, and excess. i would absolutely love to do a tc with lots of decorative trappings, gilded metals! for her story, i think it would be lovely to approach it from the idea of a noblewoman who very much embodies the ideas of the rococo period. i would also work on training her up, as I try with all my pets :)

i think it could be interesting to work on lavish/diamante/rococo together as a kind of trio too, but i might need to stew a bit more on those ideas haha

down the line, i would porbably tinker with a fun custom overlay, but i think a recolored steamwork yaherra could also make for a good stand-in until then!

nice, i'd originally given Rococo a TC kind of like that, with very fancy ornate items. i just could never settle on an actual story or character. i'm happy to transfer her to you if you'd like!

I like the name Grounded. being a pretty glade owl, Nothing hurts more than no longer being able to do something that you love or is second nature. Like flying.
