While I have a lot of unfinished pets, I know who/what most of their characters will be. However, I'm stumped on what to do with a few of them and would love any ideas or suggestions! The characters don't have to fit into my mythos, but most of my OCs do so

Rubel Glade Blob, currently male, but I'm feeling more like they're a female...? So will probably change gender. Rubel is their legacy name. They're also my oldest pet, 2007 bday. I absolutely adore this sweetie and so will be keeping them no matter what, but I have no idea what to do with them!

[pet not found] Spectrum Donadak. Found him in the AC and just thought he was really cute! No ideas though. Name can be changed. If I can't come up with anything, I'll pass him on to someone else.

[pet not found] Currently exp. 1536. Also from the AC and of course I grabbed them because of the name! It's not an LN or anything, but I don't have the LN Blimp, so I'd like to develop a character for this one. Preferably they'd fit into my mythos, being a balloon and all.

I'm also not settled on their color/species. I already have Steamwork Bumbus, so these are the ones I'm considering. I'd love opinions or suggestions if you have a better idea!

I was curious about the name Rubel, and if it had meanings other than the money. According to google, "German: from a diminutive of Rube (1 or 2). German (Rübel): metonymic occupational name from a diminutive of Middle High German ruobe (from Latin rapum) 'turnip, beet, oilseed', grown for use as fodder crop." Interestingly enough, you've already got a plant thing going with the species / color! I wonder if there's something with a farmer / planter that would fit into the omniverse somewhere? Their "crop" could be something unique to the omniverse?

For Cezar, maybe looking at the Omniverse and seeing if there is a "blank space" or a role that would work well to be filled? Gives me youthful scamp vibes atm lol.

Blimp could be a character who has traversed the todash space and mapped safe routes, and now carries / guides other travelers who are fated to cross these wild not lands? Perhaps a blimp who was "retired" on earth and "popped" / "deflated" - resulting in their arrival in the dreamworld?

My suggestion would be making Rubel a dreamland native, something like an elemental or forest spirit/conscience that some people can see, yet some people may think is just a normal flower or turnip or flower field. Gender could depend on outsider's interpretations but Rubel is Rubel, just vibing.

I love that idea! I hadn't thought about making them a native, but it's perfect. I actually put some sentient plant characters in one story, so they'd fit right in!
