Hello! Hopefully this is the right place to ask this question.

I am looking for a free image hosting service that does not require a login to upload images. Imgur used to let anyone upload an image without an account, but Imgur images no longer seem to work on Subeta so I need a similar alternative. Does anyone know of one?

That's... odd, mine seems to work?

imgur still works if you're using the bbcode img tags (the ones in square brackets), but NOT when using html embedding via the tag. so for adding images to forum posts, profiles, signatures, etc, imgur is still fine.

however, other features like forum images—the ones you can add above, below, or to the right of all your forum posts (like my squiggly thing up there ^) will not work if you try to use an imgur URL. existing ones will stay as they are (again, like mine), but trying to change/add a new one will result in an error, so you'd need to use a different site.

personally, i don't have any experience with other image hosts. i briefly used tinypic but its image hosting service doesn't exist anymore. i hear good things about flickr, but i think you might need an account to post there. other than that, i don't have any useful insights beyond what you'd find by just googling "imgur alternatives" or "free image hosting sites."

I don't know if you're going to find one that doesn't require a login.

I was going to suggest Dropbox, but you have to create and account to use it.

Flickr is not an image host like Imgur, it's for uploading your own photos. It also requires an account to upload. Flickr is great for photography, but again that's what it's for. It's not for memes and layout hosting. I'm not sure if they specifically have rules against it, but using it to host images it was never meant to is a great way to get their sharing/hosting tightened down too.

I just use Postimages. No account required and I've never had a problem with it (though admittedly I don't post a lot of images on Subeta specifically, I use it a lot elsewhere).

I use ImgBB when I just want to upload an image quickly without logging in. I've used it to post here on the forums, not sure how it would be for signatures. Be aware the site is prone to outages though, I've had pictures disappear on me at times.

Ah, I keep forgetting that there are forum images and signatures. I only ever used forum images in the past, but I mixed up the terminology in my post title. Apologies for the confusion. Now that I have been reminded that signatures actually still work, maybe I'll pursue that instead. :)

Thanks for those suggestions! Both of those sites sound like what I am looking for. I'll have to try them out.

I do actually have a Flickr account that I used to share photos of my art with people, and I did consider using it like I used Imgur, but I feel kind of bad about it. As you say, it might cause problems down the line.
