I was really into the Neopets world some 20 years ago or so, back when it was in its heyday. Mostly I lurked artists with in depth character building and storylines for their characters. It got me way more into my own art back then! I’m so rusty now; it’d be cool to find inspiration again.

I definitely want to find cool accounts to follow for things like that!

I’m a mid 30s sci-fi/horror/ fantasy nerd these days. Feeling very nostalgic for these cute little worlds!

I’m excited to join a community like this and learn the ropes!

Welcome! Subeta is such a great site, there's a lot to do and it can be a great place to express your creativity. The site is a little "quiet" these days, but summer is usually the "slowest" season around the site so things will pick up as you go. I'm personally most attached to the pet aspect of the site and love creating characters and customizing everything about them! There's a lot of freedom on the site to create unique pet profiles which is so nice!

The Pet Spotlight is always a good place to find inspiration! You can look at all the winners through time and see a variety of pet presentation styles. We have a great group here where you can find a lot of devoted pet folks! I am always inspired by them! Subetalodge is an amazing sister site with all sorts of info. This link will take you to the area of that site where you can explore all the different pets by species or by color! It can be hard to choose which pets to make first, there are so many awesome options! There is an Art Market portion of the forums for selling or buying art, which could be of interest to you!

Petsites aren't as popular as they were in the olden days unfortunately, but Subeta is still active enough to be a lot of fun! Summer is by far the slowest period but Neugarten tends to be the first wave of activity picking up. Fall and Winter are full of holidays that promote daily engagement, so all elements of the site start to pick up. Keith and the staff are also working on completely updating Subeta which makes me feel excited for the future!

Psycho is my favorite horror film but Martyrs is also really comforting to me.

My house flooded a week ago so I stopped reading Blood Meridian (really outside my normal genres) and read a comfy Fantasy Romance. When I do read romances I really love Reverse Harem as I loathe 99.9% of love triangles.

After I finish Blood Meridian I'll go back to the Dune series.
