I'm currently working on job promotions for all my pets, which includes reading a booty load of books to each kiddo. I've found that right clicking and opening a new tab for each book (so 6 tabs because I have 6 of that specific book) is easier than clicking all the way through over and over. For some reason, this sometimes works fine and sometimes I get an error.
For example: I opened 6 tabs. I read to a pet on tab 1 - 4 with no issues. Tab 5 and tab 6 gave me the error. I returned to the inventory and did in fact have two copies still available to read.
I'm guessing some of the tabs are pulling up the same exact item, vs the next copy of the item? IDK if that would make any sense, but maybe tabs 1 - 3 are pulling up copy 1 - 3, but tabs 4 - 6 all pulled up copy 4? Not sure if this is an easy "fix" or if I need to suck it up and go back to clicking all the way around but figured I'd mention it since it's a weird one!
I think that's right, I've experienced it happening as well when I open multiple tabs of the same item.
What I do to go a little faster than the whole Inventory > Item > Use > Inventory loop is I use the item and then use the back button on my mouse to get back to the inventory instead. As far as I can tell the 'Pet read / ate this item' page doesn't need to load for it to go through, you can just click the Use button and immediately back out to the inventory page.
I also try not to use the same stack of items in a row, if I'm reading books for example I'll do one of each type and then refresh to get the 'fresh' versions of the items.
