I am curious to ask, what is the number you stop and wonder is this worth? 5 mil, 15 mil? 20mil or higher? Or does it depend on if its a title or item involved? For me it depends. If its a title I question the sp if its high. If it’s a needed item to advance somewhere, that is more harder to let go xD

Nothing is too expensive for me, I have even so far as deleted and Ether x) But that's because I really enjoy collecting acheivements!

For some of the achievements, like complete collections, they're taking me more time to work on so I try to be patient and get good deals on beanbags etc. since those are really long term goals c:

At the moment over 1m on any one item is something I'll usually avoid because I'm trying to save up for a full beanbag collection!

I have so many of the food achievements 99% finished with one crazy expensive item waiting for me to save up enough lol.

Since I'm only new to achievements so far, I do have a bit of a limit. Like for buying to fill collections, I try to not go any higher than about 50k atm, but there are so many for me to work on in the meantime as well. It's been fun watching new things get unlocked, or working towards new goals!

for me it depends on the day and how much I have saved (usually not a lot lol) But my strategy is to have EVERYTHING on my wishlist then filter from cheapest and just work up from there, so at the moment probably 500k just as I've got eggs in every basket

If you ever need to save some money, there’s Borrowing & Lending for Achievements :D Technically there is an active lender for every lendable achievement on the site.

I don’t know how much I’ve personally spent on achievements, but it’s been spread out over the 14 years I’ve been on the site so it’s never felt like a whole lot. I spend a little here and there and it’s added up over time.

I'm an achievement hound above all else so I'll probably spend whatever it takes to get as many as I can eventually, but I feel a lot better about spending on an achievement if I get something I can keep out of it. Like finishing all the Subeautique achievements was really expensive but now I have all those items in my wardrobe so it didn't hurt much. I'm still balking at the "delete an Ether" one even though I could afford it because that just feels icky. I hate deleting items, even cheap junk for Major Drills lol

Agreed, if it is a title or some item reward I want, I will go to much greater expense. That being said I can only imagine how many billions of sP I have spent on gourmand so far (only 101 foods left currently!)

Wait what, there's a book involved? Oh! I forgot or didn't notice there was a prize for that achievement. I see it's totally unbuyable too (at least currently). That makes a big difference... Maybe I can close my eyes when I hit "delete" and pretend I'm just buying an extremely rare book for 400 million. Even that is really ugh but it's better than just deleting something lol. Thanks for pointing that out!

I actually sold the book I received from deleting the ether, so the amount of sP I deleted was slightly less painful xD

I never purchased another one for my armory though, not a weapon I fancy keeping x)

I spent a lot more than I should have for the Item Hunt achievement and the Swashbuckle.

The worst thing was Miracle Potion on quest 91.
