Hello there!

Hoping I can get some users to offer up links to their YouTube Channels and give some details on the channel. Would be nice to make a little directory based on genre to make it easier for potential forum lurkers to come support.

I need new channels to sub to and would love to potentially get some eyes on my own. Would love to also chat in general about video creation .etc.

So yeah gauging interest before making graphics to make a fancy post

JASH READS

Started out as a side channel to read the Animorphs series. Now is the only channel I upload to.

Currently I mostly stream games on Twitch and export them to the channel. Playing Skyrim but plan to start playing Stardew Valley again.

Also playing Disco Elysium (getting through the Fascist Run of the game as it's supposed to be the hardest).

Hopefully this week I'll start reading Animorphs .

So do you just play or offer commentary that is game specific or just like shoot the breeze sort of deal? What got you on YouTube/ twitch in the first place?

I play and offer commentary. Though sometimes I play without commentary.

For commentary it depends on what is going on. Such as in Disco Elysium there is so much dialogue that I tend to stick to discussing the game. But in Skyrim I play Survival Mode (so no fast travel) and so there's a lot of time when nothing is really going on. So I'll sometimes talk about the game or I'll talk about whatever is on my mind.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer got me so mad I made a few vlogs on Facebook. That eventually lead to me making reviews on my original YouTube channel and starting a blog.

That makes total sense. I haven't done a true blog in years ... I think high school. And blogs idk if I count subscriber count updates as vlogs. But I do need to turn my videos into blogs.

My channel is about personal finance / financial literacy. I do breakdowns of various topics that impact people's budgets and then I do a monthly recap on my own "Debt Tale". My whole thing is trying to encourage people to talk about their money and ask questions so I can answer them.

My blog really acts as a central hub of everything I do. Though my streams tend to take awhile to get there.

Does your offline job involve handling money so that your channel ends up using your expertise? Like how Legal Eagle uses his expertise as a lawyer?

Nope not really. I do act as money coach for some but that isn't me handling people's money. That's me altering how people handle their own money.

What's it like being a money coach?

Really fun. I love creating a safe space for people to talk about money. I enjoy watching over time people go from apprehension, fear, and sometimes loathing to excited, relaxed, and loving it. That's the impact that makes me happy. Because I know if they can do it with me, they will eventually do it with someone else and that person will be influenced and maybe be more open with others. Just create a ripple effect. But I am now also trying to learn how to do it as a legitimate business.
