Probably should have posted here first instead of news but that was active and I thought it was amusing. Anyway

I noticed a weird thing where it looked like a user was @ themselves in reply but then it actually has a different name attached to it so I went to see why the name would respawn as replying to themself, when I saw the one they @ has me blocked so instead of just not showing that person who has me blocked, it shows their comment as another user. Unless this is someone with a double account replying to themself accidentally, then this is a weird glitch. I normally don't see any comments of people that have me blocked ( I have no one blocked so wouldn't be an issue on my end ), so not sure why it's not only showing me the comment, but also replacing their comment with someone else's name? Confusing more than anything

Blocking only changes what the person who did the blocking can see, so you would still see comments made by someone who has blocked you.

When you say it had another name attached to it, do you mean the link took you to a different user, or that the name after the @ was different than the user who posted it? Usually, people use the @ to ping OTHER people, not themselves.

Ohh got you, okay. The name was seen as another name like example being I posted this so my username should be the one visible, but instead it would show as your name and you commenting to me would show your name commenting with " @ Stiles Blocking only changes.."

So it's a bit confusing and looks like someone is commenting to themselves just tagging another user

Can't be - someone blocked me (wouldn't know, why anyone would have, but, well...), they comment a lot and people answer. I'm always very confused, because then I search for the question, but can't find it. That's highly irritating and annoying. It should be, that only personal communications and interactions are bloccked...
