Now that the revamp is (mostly) complete and many of us are working through challengers, I'm curious if any of you have reassessed your pet's stats. Do you intend to leave your capped pets as they are, or do you intend to leech certain stats and reallocate them? If you haven't capped, have you changed your plans about your pet's final stat build?
I'm reaching the cap, and I keep waffling over my pet's final stats! I'd love to know how others are approaching their final builds after the revamp.
*It's been about a week and there were no responses, so I walked down that dark alley alone with no hand-holding or firm guidance. I may have regrets later, but hopefully not! lol
Here's what I settled on, which is a little off the beaten path due to speed.
Level: 3967 Health: 10617 / 10001 Strength: 10101 Defense: 6116 Speed: 8778 Intelligence: 5072 AP: 317 Tier: 13 (max!)

I have no idea, wish I could help, but I'm discovering that opponents I could beat before, I no longer can. So I'm not sure what I'm doing, or should be doing.

That's a bummer. Your pet is strong with a lot of health and I would expect you'd be able to beat most opponents. The revamp affected healing caps on weapons, the defense on weapons (increased a lot of the defense, which should make battles a bit easier in that regard), but it also adjusted freezing scrolls and crystals. That could be your issue - freezing scrolls aren't quite as effective and the crystal activation/type has changed. So Parched protects from freezing (activation is strange on it now, imo) and BoNA only protects against stealing. It could be that you may need to modify your crystals.
Given the healing reduction, it may be that you will need to pay extra attention to which weapons you're using and what icons they're blocking. A lot of weapons were given dual blocking, which has been really great. If you want to reach out or post here with your weapon set and an opponent that's giving you trouble, maybe we can diagnose the problem to help you out a bit. I hope battles improve for you and that the changes don't discourage you from battling. You may just need to tweak your approach (change sucks sometimes.)

Thank you, I just might do that because it really surprised me. I'm not the most knowledgeable about battling, and I kind of just dove in when I started.
I'm on my phone now, but I'll see when I get to my computer.
My set for Holly:
Scrolls:
Unstable Fairy, Morosbane, Morosbane, Shriek of Despair, Shriek of Despair, Gale Force, Sticky Webs, Cobalt Eternal, Cobalt Eternal, Cobalt Eternal, Cobalt Eternal, Fatal Fire

I'm not sure when you added your weapons, so I apologize for the delayed response! Is there a certain challenger that gives you trouble?
Paintbrush Blades (healing is now capped at 540) defends against ice, dark, magma and light. So it will be good to use that against challengers that do some or all of those icons. Malignant Rift Staff has a small heal and blocks magma and dark, so you're kind of doubling up on those icons with the Paintbrush Blades. Shattered Rift Blade blocks wind, light and dark (has a negative heal but blocks a lot and does a good bit of damage.) It depends on the challenger you're facing, but in most cases you really only need two 'main' or 'constant' attackers equipped and you have the three previously mentioned equipped. The One Ring takes up valuable space and I'm not sure the 1,000 heal is worth it. I'd consider replacing that with Recycle Blaster. If you have other constants that have greater heals, they may work better for you. Your pet has over 22k stats, so I'm assuming you won a Dark Goddess Rod. That would be great for blocking light + fire and it has a better heal than your Staff and Rift Blade. I suspect you have a lot of great weapons that you just need to cycle through depending on the challenger.
As for your scrolls, have you earned any Gift of the Forj Scrolls yet? That would be better healing for your pet given its high health. Your pet has outgrown the heals on Morosbane and Gale Force. I know they do damage as well, but the AP they use may be better reserved for freezing scrolls once you earn more. Cold Blast Scroll, Psycho Smasher Scroll and Shriek of Despair Scroll are all the freezing scrolls that I use (there are others, but I don't own them.) All my Cold Blast and Psycho Smasher Scrolls were acquired from battling. Your Cobalts and Fatal Fire are good for defense. I have two main scroll sets. One with a lot of freezing scrolls and one with a lot of defense scrolls (Sancturia Exodin, Spacial Abyss, Fatal Fire, The Void and I would have Cobalts if I wasn't so cheap!)
Without knowing your armory, it's tough to make specific suggestions. My default set for knocking out Battle Quests is Volatile Energized Mecha, Intricate Energized Helmet, Recycle Blaster, Soma Tablets, Bear Head Bomb, Nachos Secret Stuff, Maniacal Essence and currently Maniacal Slappy Hand. I almost always have Maniacal Essence equipped! It's my favorite weapon. If freezing is disabled, I replace the Intricate Energized Helmet, Bear Head Bomb and Nachos Secret Stuff with healers. That's just how I approach battles. I am not an expert, but it's been working well for me. Nearly all of these weapons I earned through battling; I am not recommending that you go out and purchase these weapons. You will certainly be able to earn them in the future if you haven't already. I'm just giving you some ideas that will hopefully help you modify your strategy. I hope this information helps.

Thank you for all of this. I will go over it more thoroughly when I have a chance. I really appreciate it.
No, I do not have the Dark Goddess Rod, nor a lot of those mentioned. It's definitely something to keep in mind.
Thank you again!

I'm happy to help. Your achievements show that you earned Dark Goddess Rod at some point. If you didn't sell it, you should run an account search. If you still don't see it, I would file a ticket if I were you. I had to file a ticket for my Blessed Trident of the Banished One, because it glitched and didn't give it to me when I turned in the bobbleheads.
Have a great weekend!

Lol, it's there in my armory. I had no idea. Any suggestions if I need to mod it? Thanks again, and have a terrific weekend!

Phew!! I am relieved for you! At this time I only have 1 parched baguette crystal attached to mine. You can buy those from the Battle Shop in the Battle Coliseum with Very Hard tokens. You can't really go wrong by having at least one of those attached since so many opponents freeze. I used my Dark Goddess Rod quite a bit when I went through all the opponents after reset. I used it against opponents that did both light and fire in damage. Take care. :)

Thanks, I've added the Rod to my battle set and added a parched baguette. I also added the Recycle Blaster and removed The One Ring and the Shattered one. I really appreciate the help because in spite of the length of time on here or my battle pet, I'm still kind of newish to it all.
For some reason, I can no longer beat Lukien.
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

Lukien is tough for me (and others)! Blocking dark & wind will be your best bet, but there are a lot of Once Per Battle items (predominantly heals and fire damage) that you have to survive before you can lay the smack down. As for my armory, I believe I used Maniacal Essence as my dark/wind blocker. I may have paired that with Swashbuckle (wind/fire) or even Dark Goddess Rod (light/fire). You're definitely going to want to prioritize dark blocking.
I'm surprised you're having more trouble with Lukien now than pre-revamp. Your Shattered Rift Blade blocks quite a bit of damage if you can weather the lack of heals. I would look through your armory to see if you have any good dark blockers. Your Malignant Rift Staff blocks dark, but the magma block won't really help much.
Also, if you want to borrow my Maniacal Essence to knock out some wins, just let me know. Pairing it with your Dark Goddess Rod should get you a few wins. Lukien is a tough challenger though!

Thank you for everything. I'll go through my armory and see what's there. I haven't paid much attention to it since I really had a lot of luck with my original set before the reset.
I might take you up on that offer after I see what I own.
Thank you again for all of your help.

I'm in the same boat, haven't had a ton of time to really figure out what to do with my battler (Wrayth) now. But I am definitely feeling the change, losing to opponents I beat before. I'm training Defense now, since I ignored it for a long time but I'm not sure if that is even the right move.
Your pet stats are looking good to me. As for the opponents that you beat before, you may want to adjust your weapon mod crystals to better protect against freezing/stealing. I'm not sure if there is a right move when it comes to final builds. If I were to change anything with the build I went with, I'd probably raise strength a bit. Not sure where I'd take those stats though!

Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely take a look at my mod crystals. I haven't touched them since the revamp. I'm also reevaluating my weapon set and trying to cater more to the opponent than I did in the past. I'm still unsure, but I think I'll keep to a similar ratio for training for the time being.
I am happy with the builds on both of my capped pets. The revamps haven't impacted them too much since you still need health to buffer big hits. My first capped pet has a huge amount of speed that works to his advantage. His downfall is his lower intelligence so the only thing I would say is to consider giving your pet higher intel so you can more scrolls to fill in your armory gaps.
Thanks for your input! It will be slow going, but I intend to increase my pet's intel over time. Truthfully, I'm out of scrolls to fill my pet's current AP. I need to consider buying more scrolls going forward. Your pet's intelligence isn't that low. :P
