Okay, so I have had the trap and the repellant in my inventory for.... like ever and I have a question. Is there even a reason to do so anymore? I haven't gotten an event in such a long time. Am I the only one who missed the memo that this isn't a thing anymore. Lol, It wouldn't surprise me.

I also haven't seen a lizard event in years, and I recall a thread of similar discussion a little while back. it leans closer to how most of us haven't seen an oracle event in years either, I'd be curious (and frankly not surprised) if behind the scenes a few switches accidentally got flipped in the code and made the random events almost non-existent these past few years.

apparently they do still happen though, but at an infitesmally lower rate than I remember, so I still keep my trap/spray locked in the inventory.

I think I've had two lizard minion events in the past 3-4 months. With my trap and spray they both gave me "rare" rarity items worth like 65,000sp. So not really the turnout of when I first joined this site, I would bet half my sP that my set haven't paid for themselves and possibly never will. :P

I got two lizard minion events yesterday. I have heard that having the repellent in your inventory actually does repel the lizards so that you get less events. But iirc you do need to still have both in order to guarantee getting the item from them, so with both you'd have a lower chance of seeing the event, but if you do see it, you'll get the item? Or that's my understanding. I do keep both in my inventory

I don't recall seeing a lizard minion event in a very long time - but that doesn't really mean anything because I miss events regularly.

I do, however, get Oracle quests all the time. I know this because I added the Oracle quest widget to my sidebar. I'll be doing stuff and all of a sudden, the widget goes active. Maybe once out of 10 times I'll actually notice the event, but generally I'm only aware I had an event because of the widget.

Sometimes super rare items show up in my inventory. Is it because I had a lizard event I didn't notice? Could be. Or it could be the Wizard dropping off a potion - I tend to not notice those either. LOL even when I'm doing my dailies, I may not notice what the Hustler is giving me, or get an extra item from the Mallarchy pond. I'm just clicking and moving on without really checking to see what I won. Just checking later to see if there are any WL items before I clear my inventory.

Thank you, guys, so much! I was just looking at my inventory and remembering how much I spent on those 2 items many years ago and was wondering if it was still worth it. It doesn't help that I am rarely on and don't spend much time when I am.

As for the oracle events I just realized that I had the quest and didn't notice so I am going to turn on the widget because apparently, I am also clicking around too fast to notice things happening.

I too have the Oracle widget on , but still very rare do I get a quest from her.

i've managed to get a lizard to appear like, a week ago? but it's the last one i remember lol

the events are definitely still active, but if you already have all tiers of both achievements, there's no need to keep the trap & repellent around. (unless they add more tiers, which is why i can't quite bring myself to sell them...)

i'm also pretty sure the repellent scares the lizards off, so even if you get the item, you won't trap the lizard. so if you still need the "capture a lizard" achievements, keep only the trap in your inventory until you've caught all 10, then add the repellent to keep working towards the "taking from the lizards" achievements.

I've found that oracle quests seem to come in batches for me. I'll get a bunch over a week or two, then nothing for a couple of months, then another big batch.

I just wish there was a widget for Tempest events!
