I bought these to put in my candy (and chocolates) gallery, but then I saw the word "baked". Are these solid chocolate or are they brownies (with bread)? I don't like chocolate so I have never tried fudge myself. Who here has eaten fudge squares? Fudge in general? Tell me the forbidden secrets! Is fudge a baked good or a candy?!
Edit: Items like this too:
Solid chocolate? Cake?
it's considered a candy/confection. it's just sugar, butter, and milk (plus cocoa powder or other flavoring) heated until the sugar crystallizes, poured into a pan, and allowed to cool and set. it has none of the components that would allow something to bake.
Hmmm, yeah, that's weird! Fudge is definitely not a baked good. Maybe those are more like petit fours!
Hmmm, very interesting. The term "Square" usually references non-baked, or icebox confections. Though they might have a baked portion - a cookie or cake-like base. I watch cooking shows from time to time and they do talk about "baking" items even if they are not actually baked.
Fudge is cooked, but not baked. I'd say it should be classed as a candy or confection.

Fudge is similar in texture to a really dense, moist brownie. Depending on the flavor of fudge it can have baked goods in it, like cookie crumbles but it's not baked itself.
Thank you everybody! Fudge =/= baked good, that's good to know. I think I'll add them to the candy gallery under what counts as fudge in our universe and assume that whatever is going on on Subeta, it's vaguely the same.
That's kinda what I was guessing the item description writer meant. My oven only has "bake" and "broil" options so in my head if I'm not broiling the fudge I guess I'm baking it, hehe.
